Poe 2 is a real failure of the game fun
craft is worse than poe for sure, i really miss alternation orb...
keystone drop rate should not be a problem if you've figured out the new Atlas mechanics. Only one portal is the biggest failure. The main reason why poe is better than Diablo is the incredible diversity of builds, but now with only one portal, most glass canon builds are no longer viable. At least in the current EA version, the number of viable builds has become very limited. All my friends are now playing archmage sparker/summoner/howa attributes stacker, and i can't find any fun build to try after completing all the available content in the game, poe has never been such monotonous. another big failure is the difficulty in the early stages of the game, that's so stupid. in poe it is fun to make a new character and enjoy the progress of leveling and experiencing a new playstyle. but in poe2 this is so painful for the vast majority of builds, ppl must make a choice between countless deaths and the boredom of using ignite helmet + gas arrow again and again. the trial of sekhemas is good for rogue-like lovers like me, it is much better than lab anyway, lab is just a piece of sht. after all i think GGG should listen to the majority of players' feedback and make some changes, those extreme GGG/POE2 defenders are not really helping the game to be better. |

" You say that as if being the majority somehow makes that opinion the right one. The majority of arpg players probably play d3/d4 and love that kind of easy peasy no-brainer approach. And that's fine. But I think poe2 is not aiming to be a copy of that. They did, however, attract a lot more people. By claiming poe2 to be more accessible. Those are coming over from said other games, and are not used to what poe/poe2 is. In my opinion, checking out a game and finding it's just not what you expected, shouldn't lead to you demanding the game bends to your wishes. Even if you might be a lot of people that think alike. Let poe2 be what the devs want it to be, and let it be what I am pretty sure a lot of the people playing it right now want it to be and are very happy with. It's fine to move on, accepting that not every game is for you. |

+1 the changes that were made to the core systems of POE have made POE 2 boring and tedious, also it's nothing like a souls game besides the influx of braindead "souls" enjoyers and marketing campaign

Many games have death penalties, and many games have high difficulty, but some are very interesting and fun, such as Monster Hunter and Dark Souls.
However, difficulty does not mean that the BOSS in POE2 is just a simple high-damage instant kill of the player, and the player can only choose to kill the BOSS in one second. This is called simple design, not high difficulty. POE2 is widely advertised in my area as having a game experience different from that of D4 and their POE1, and having the system and experience of an action game. Yes, they did it, but only in the first three chapters of the game's plot. In the later stage, they eliminated all the advantages they promoted by limiting the upper limit of the player's resistance, and turned it into a game where players can only choose to kill the BOSS in one second to avoid being killed by the BOSS. " I'll keep saying this until people understand. If you're getting one-shot by map bosses, make a better build, learn to dodge, or quit juicing maps so hard. It's one of the three, because I've done hundreds of map bosses without dying at only 2k life, 4k ES. Also, I don't kill them in one second. It can range from 10 to 45 depending on mods like enemy life and resists, and what rare affixes roll on them. Last edited by Redthorne82#3177 on Feb 1, 2025, 6:13:36 PM

" Once again I'm asking how you manage to respond to every thread so early with a staunch defense of GGG's design decisions. You are extremely guilty of this and I want an answer. Do you work for GGG? you never agree with a single criticism of the game. But you have all the time in the world to be here constantly responding to threads. |

" "You are extremely guilty of this..." Absolutely dying laughing. It's so impossible to believe someone enjoys something that enjoying said thing is now just indefensible. Great. Wonderful work. |
