Shattering Palm ice shards only count Hit damage

Hello, it appears that the shards of ice from Shattering Palm can only be damaged by Hits. Damage over time effects, such as ignite, do not count for exploding the shards. This is inconsistent with the skill's description, which only mentions dealing damage.
