Auction House when?
considering ingame trade system as trade simualtor,
talking about bad examples and saying no to AH/instant trade or such a system, concerning about more bots, etc. etc. all of them false becouse; 1- it is how you desing it makes it what it will become 2- lack of knowledge, makes you talk against it 3- you are scammer, that you want current system goes on 4- you are just a troll |

" This is absolutely true. Blizz took agency from players by forcing them to their AH because then they'd have not only speedbumps to slow progression, but they'd also not have to worry as much about fine-tuning loot generation. Since they introduced currency as well, what happened was the majority of players saw their gameplay as spending hours working at 'playing' just to then convert that over to another player to get 'the build-defining thing' they needed... which likely should have had better drop chances to begin with. Without more work and a more robust crafting system, this is where PoE2 is headed. A client AH with restrictions, like a limit on item listings/trades would help offset some issues without breaking the Trade Market. Last edited by Morkonan#8495 on Apr 9, 2025, 12:53:26 PM

"If Auction House is implemented properly, then it won't ruin the game. And implemented properly - means protected from bots and focused only on player comfort. At the very release of PoE 2 I've created this topic: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3656892 Last edited by WarStalkeR#7616 on Apr 9, 2025, 1:37:11 PM

Trading was bad at launch, and now you can hardly trade, bots are way more than players on the trade website...
Why would anyone be willing to spend 15+ minutes for a single item purchase when everything could be instant with an auction house system. Last edited by SS_Hallucinator#7272 on Apr 10, 2025, 3:04:05 AM

" Then sadly GGG will lose players, how many I have no idea. Also we can't say it is too much work as the existing Currency Exchange could well contain much of what is needed for a simple buy out trading system. Last edited by Grikanna#2569 on Apr 10, 2025, 5:59:44 AM

Trade is not even feasible, at all on console. GGG want the money but don't want to provide the basic necessities? This is a game that is many magnitudes harder w/o trade, GGG made it that way, then try to skimp out on an AH. Shameful.
Every time I use the currency exchange I see how amazing an AH in game would be so sad. It's just not a serious game w/o a way to trade. You literally cannot trade on console w/o a phone &/or a PC. Console loot filter for POE2 Please! Last edited by Die_Scream#5464 on Apr 10, 2025, 8:26:22 AM

"Trade is not even feasible, at all on console."
PoE1 has an in-game Auction House... It works, can be searched, and doesn't require any player contact. Just find the item (can even use the standard PC tradesite for detaile searches), click and bib. If the other player accepts, you get an in-game notificatio with the item attached. You have to go to town/hideout to retrieve items or currency. IOW, they've already coded it and it was finished shortly after PoE1 console launch. EditAdd: Versions of PoE1 PC for certain markets other than 'The West' also have an ingame Auction House and other QoL. To be fair, it has to have such conveniences to appeal to and be competitive in that mrket. IoW: It already exists in PoE1, just not for "Westerners."
