State of Early Access Update

Your debate skills are terrible.

Check out my debate :

90% of yall never even tried to play something except Lightning imbalanced builds, finished content on trash 123123123k dps and now crying all the way about bad EA. Another 10% of yall crying because they do RMT and they need new league just to reset economy so they can make more money.

Round.

Where did you get the 90% and 10% figures? Or are they just guesses? Using imaginary data is below primary school debate standards—such a weak argument that any contestant could easily call it out.

I am not new with EA and every EA game I played in the past gave regular updates towards their release especially in the last year. They did not wait till they could release a new "league" before fixing bugs and game breaking things and added content regularly. If anyone isn't handling this as EA it's GGG by refusing to give updates cause they don't want to nerf builds mid league.

Good thing GGG also isn't waiting for a new league before fixing bugs and game breaking things, as they'ved been releasing minor bugfixing and polish patches consistently since December.

The only thing they're not releasing on a short-term basis is major reworks or significant new content, which is absolutely not something early access games typically do regularly. Most games need a few months to deliver large new content updates.
If you call this a consistent bugfix and patching since launch you are a big fan boy and blind. These hotfixes can be done by a single developer and with this pace the game will stay in EA for years. A game that is supposed to be in EA for a year or 1.5 years should atleast give a content update every 2 months. Especially with the current state being so far from done. Besides this we have little to no communication or a roadmap. The first big update will be 4 months in and won't even have the big rework of systems by the look of it.
Hope we get some new content soon

I quite honestly don't think we'll see anything while the PoE1 event is running, which already within basically a week from its announcement got a date, February 20th, and since that will be lasting for a month, I don't think we'll see 0.2.0 and content for PoE2 before late into March at best.

I can only imagine that they decided to push back PoE2 0.2.0 so that it doesn't compete with the attention of PoE1, and so they can try capitalize on players going between the games. Why else advertise the event within PoE2. They probably also halted 0.2.0 development while they crunched this PoE1 event out as fast as possible, so that probably delayed it a bit, even if I don't doubt they will potentially get 0.2.0 ready before the PoE1 event's month has passed. They will probably hold it back while they move on to working on PoE1's 3.26 patch, then release the PoE2 0.2.0 patch after the PoE1 event is over, meaning we've waited 4 months for content for an Early Access game said to be in EA for 6 to 12 months. Just don't get your hopes up. I hope I'm wrong, but it makes sense from a business perspective if they want to try keep players playing both games and going back and forth between them.

Sucks if you don't want to play PoE1, the same way it sucks for PoE1 players that don't want to play PoE2 when focus is put on PoE2, but here we are. It's harder and harder to stay positive about this game and GGG when they are not sharing information on 0.2.0 and teasing what is coming. When they have basically been radio silent for 3 months outside of posting a bit about QoL changes (which have been good) and bug fixes. PoE1's event has had more teasing and hype than anything PoE2 received the past 3 months imo., but then again PoE1 didn't have hype for even longer, so..

That would be a huge letdown. And a possibly killer move to the PoE 2 playerbase as a whole
As a new player to PoE with PoE 2, this sucks. You've shifted dev priorities back to PoE 1, delaying any new PoE 2 content while going completely radio silent, but on top of that, this PoE 1 event seemingly only holds value for PoE 1 veterans.

What does a new player care that the 19 original ascensions are replaced with new experimental ideas when we've never experienced the 19 original ascensions to begin with?

This sets in motion the biggest barrier to entry for PoE 1 that there has EVER been, and what is the PoE 2 fanbase left to do? Play a 10+ year old game with a mountainous learning curve that's having a goofy experimental event while the game you supported and spent money on is getting neglected and you're left with no updates?

If I wanted to play PoE 1, I would've done it before the launch of PoE 2. I've had 10+ years to try it.

This sucks.

Ya I agree with this. I really wouldn't mind playing PoE1, which I never had, if the event was something I could get into as a new player to PoE2. It definitely seems specific to catering to PoE1 fans who maybe haven't been getting as much attention since PoE2.

Would genuinely just be happy with an update and maybe tease some things that will be coming and a window for when to expect it. I don't really mind waiting til later March but I sometimes think developers really underestimate how the littlest updates can satisfy their player base.

This.

PoE 1 is too far out of reach for new players that is insane they even advertise on our login screen.
Game is fun but needs more content.

I agree. It’s fun just short. Not sure why people complain about endgame. I mentioned in another post that if you’ve reached the point endgame isn’t fulfilling then you’ve “beat” the game at the moment. Put it down and come back after the next release.

Now wish they’d be way more interactive! They go radio silent way too often.
