Play the Legacy of Phrecia Event on February 20th PST
A birthday treat for me! Thank you. That's my day sorted.

" My small uneducated intuition says that they released the "bad news of not having time" intentionally to generate public outrage. That increases community engagement, gets people emotional and posting about POE all over the web (free marketing). THEN release the already planned event in a really short time to get the positive emotions and HYPE going. That's just my gut feeling, but it worked on me :D I'm excited as hell for the event despite the emotional rollercoaster. LONG LIVE POE1 :D |

GGG should made The Legacy of Phrecia Event into 3.26. So, we will have time to play the Acendancies classes that we like. Does anyone agree?

" Yeah I'll be honest, I don't think there is a company out there who would ruin 10 years of credibility and spark a 300 page forum response within 48 hours to the tune of: "F*** YOU, I WANT MY MONEY BACK" on purpose. Jonathan's news was sincere. GGG does not have the manpower to develop both games (or at least they haven't been managed in way which allows them to do so) in parallel. While this immediate pivot and content dump to PoE1 is great, it still comes at a cost. Chris has said in the past that they work on multiple leagues at a time. There has been nothing since 3.25 and the news about 3.26 was 'we haven't even started', I'm inclined to believe GGG still had at least some semi-fleshed out leagues or even an expansion that had been shelved indefinitely when development for PoE2 spun up. These events could be that. If true; GGG's capacity to create content for PoE1 'quickly' might not actually be the case. It also implies that PoE1 might have had an expansion to rival the scope of Siege of the Atlas which now we might get drip fed and who knows if/when any of it goes core. And none of this speaks to any potential setbacks PoE2 might suffer as a consequence as well. I approach this event with cautious optimism for the future but in no way think this stands as proof that things are better now. Last edited by muzein#2324 on Feb 14, 2025, 10:20:11 AM
