Announcing the First Path of Exile 2 Race Event

" because as a top 5 player in almost every event until now i would get a chance at another demigod item which is now gone as i got 0 experience in poe 2 so far as it was announced as an unifinished game so it shouldn't have events that reward you with items yet as it is unfinished ;) |

I'm just confused, is this what PoE 2 needs right now? I guess that's the way to make people replay the campaign over and over ...

" I mean, wouldn't you expect them to be bitter after being told the game they enjoy wouldn't have it's development affected/halted but it did? I like both games, but I think PoE2 needs more time in the oven to bake before I can play it again. When I played bloodmage it's ascendancies didn't work at all (was bugged), then they nerfed what I was playing into the ground and was given no respecs. I think it'll be a great game someday, but it just needs more time to cook. It was released into early access too early, as strange as that sounds. Leech wasn't tested at all when it went live for example. That said, GGG should be able to have both games be amazing, I just hope PoE1 doesn't get fully abandoned. It could really use the graphics engine of PoE2 ported over to it. Last edited by dizz#2756 on Feb 19, 2025, 7:26:52 PM

So this is the reason PoE1 event cannot be longer than one month - PoE2 0.2

Welp that sucks for me I love races but a 4am Monday morning start time is one that I can't make.

" probably not released into early access too early but it get's the treatment as if it isn't early access but rather the main game now which is way too early for this |

What a let down of an event, grind all the acts again to lose to all the people who can beat the game in like 1 hour???? PASSSSS! It also starts at 12am too so what I quit my job to stay up? Yall can do better this is just flat out lazy.

This is the worst idea possible.
1. The timing. You got a PoE 1 event going on during that time, a lot of PoE 1 players like both games, so some of them would love to jump into this one but won't be able due to the first game's event (which sounds more fun for players of both games imo). 2. The game's performance. It is in a very bad state to make this types of event. Constant crashes and freezes for a lot of people. This could be a winning or losing factor. 3. Only 6 classes. In a game that will have 12 classes, the rules of the event are cutting the possible winners by 50%. This types of events should be done once all classes are available. 4. The multiple entries. The same 6-10 people are going to win if they play in all the races. They know the strats, they know the optimized routes, it is what it is. 5. Low priority of the game state. Instead of focussing on fixing performance issues, balance issues, lack of content, lack of updates. An early access game without real patches for 4 months, what is that? Don't get me wrong, this types of events are amazing, just not now. There is so much to do before this. |
