Watch GGG Live on March 27th PDT - Everything You Need to Know about 0.2.0
" GGG used to plan around other ARPGs because they themselves were avid ARPG players who loved to jump into other games (just watch some older interviews, even ones from last year around the time Last Epoch officially released). Given that history, it isn't strange to have a bad taste in your mouth with this release date decision. It's just another point of concern about how GGG seems to have changed since the release of PoE2. They used to be ARPG fans excited for other ARPGs. Now it seems since Chris left and Jonathan took over, they have become ruthless (pun intended), as if Jonathan doesn't want anything threatening "his baby" and his antiquated game design worldview. |

Generally games, any games will have resets during EA it's just part of the process. People who are whinging, man you've been playhing at max, like 3 and half months and you're all fired up? That's wilddddd! The stuff on your character you're protecting with your life is probably going to be changed as well, maybe even gone, who knows.
Resets are needed even if they're not wanted. Moving everything to a seperate area and calling it standard this early, wow in 2 years from now it's going to cost you a mirror for a scroll of wisdom, lmao. Stop arguing about it no one knows, no one has control except for the dudes who don't know how to make melee, you're in safe hands. Haha! |

" New content is the new class, you need a new character for it. You will be able to play Huntress on Standard I am 100% sure, or drop new uniques, but you will still need a new character, and if you play trade, you probably want a new "league" because Standard will be dead. If you play SSF, you can just continue. Last edited by Hornsent#1110 on Mar 17, 2025, 7:44:00 PM

" I mean you're pretty much flat out wrong about this. Generally, games do NOT reset during early access. They reset during alpha, closed beta, and SOMETIMES open beta. Traditionally, early access is a perk that entails a head start and, hence, no reset. Poe1, if you played during the beta days, did not have resets, leagues, or anything of the sort. The only reason there are players expecting an economy reset is because they've settled into the pattern that LAUNCH poe1 has given them and either have forgotten the days before leagues or never experienced them in the first place. Leagues and economy resets are post-launch tools to keep content from becoming stale. And even with said leagues, standard never reset anyway... it literally never has. Ever. And, as a game in development, why would GGG be spending time designing a league with league mechanics over spending time developing the actual core game. We're missing classes, acts, entire item types, and probably mechanics. The game still yells at win 11 and linux users for "cheating" since last patch. Dead mobs still walk around the map randomly due to graphics glitches. Delirium still sucks performance-wise and the game is unoptimized as fuck. Why would GGG bother with a reset to appease literally the small percentage of players that still can't get it through their heads that you don't get rich picking up exalts off the ground? Those players are and poor and think the economy is broken because they're too dumb to understand how the game works. They'll be poor next league/reset too. And the next. And the one after that. They're going to be poor EVERY league/reset. Why? Because the poe economy and gameplay loop is simply a tax on people that are bad at math who convert ex in to div, overpay for tiny meta upgrades, never dream big, and who are sucked into the game for 3 weeks every fresh league thinking "this will be the league my mirror drops". Give it a month and the same people will ALWAYS be crying for a reset because they can't keep up with the rising cost of upgrading gear. But... news flash... that's how a dynamic economy works. The sad thing is that if GGG REALLY wanted to keep inflation down all they would have to do is give us an exalt sink... or... literally make the exalt sink already in the game more widely available. If sinistral and dextral annul omens were, say.. 2-3x more common, exalts and annuls would go up in worth. You could keep the difficulty of crafting relatively even by increasing the rarity of literally the most broken crafting omen in the game: whittling. " A new character doesn't require a new server. Further, a new class means the game as a whole is getting new items, gems, & passives. Current toons can explore the newly added toys that come with a new class without changing servers. The reset is needless. " Except the new game mechanics are exclusive to the reset servers. That's the actual issue being discussed. Last edited by LeFlesh#9979 on Mar 17, 2025, 8:16:16 PM

Wipe beta is contraindicated. First of all: we won't be able to test new classes of things in a faster mode (I've been playing 600+ hours on my character and I'm not completely sure if the "economy is dead")). Secondly, those who benefit from the reset are talking about it: bloggers, rmt, people from poe 1 (who have plans and strategies for super-fast farming at the start of the leagues). And I want to say that this Poe2 is a different game. Like it or not, I want all nerf classes to be available (Archmage, gemling, stormweaver, accelerated builds like poe1. Another point is that if a "league" or a reset of the economy happens, this game will be no different from poe 1, which I personally don't really like, because I watched what happened to the economy in 3-7 days at the start of Phrecia... It's sad if this happens with Poe2, in which the economy is still alive, despite 4 months and numerous dupes of temporalis, mirrors.
PS GGG, remove MF from the game. And there is no wipe! It kills the game in terms of interest. Last edited by Mitrof4n#1008 on Mar 17, 2025, 8:40:03 PM

" I mean, you can call this early-access but you can also pin a horn on a donkey and call it a unicorn, this, with the amount of bugs, lack of content and amount of complaints most definitely not a proper early access. I know poe1 didnt reset, doesn't mean dozens of other games I've played in the past haven't. I mean you could probably even get a google AI answer telling you EA games will reset. If you leave an over-inflated, flat out broken economy like this in play it'll never attact new players. I saw broken due to the bots, the dupes and the currency selling. How many games have you played in EA where the company has had security breaches and admin accounts hacked (and also dont like MFA lmao) - definitely beta with new patches coming. - definitely needs a reset - if you can't handle a reset after 3.5 months then seriously get another hobby. You haven't invested your life, you've played a video game. -cry more |

GGG why does mobs blow your gass grenade and ruin yur gass grenade build? WTF?
If it works in this way, let mob warm your ice build, and cold your fire build. Online is 16k and it is deserved, you hate your players. Last edited by MerovingL#0230 on Mar 18, 2025, 5:04:42 AM
