game crashes instantly upon loading (char stuck in temple of chaos)

Same for me. Couldnt even get to character select screen with the steam client.
Then I tried to untinstall the game form steam and reinstall it. Now I can finally play - although I have no idea if theres been any further patches that couldve fixed the crash for me in the meantime that I was downloading.

But it might be worth trying to reinstall the game if its an option for you

I go to the Manor ramparts location and immediately teleport to the city, after that there is a departure from both the game, and when I re-enter the characters, the game crashes before loading in the city, the non-league characters load normally.

So I lost two characters in the league.

I've tried many ways to solve the problem, but nothing helps, the characters just don't load.
