Ravenous Doubts and Consuming Questions interaction not working properly?

Mana leech seems to be only applying to energy shield when mana is not full, when mana is full, es will not replenish at all, even from flames of chayula.

Feel the same, Mana leech recovers from other damage seems not work at all.

I hope this is not true, but possible it works AS PLANNED and like this:
- hit, spent some mana (let it will be 20 mana)
- mana leech effect applied
- mana bar totally full, you gain 20 mana and 20 es
- mana leech effect ends, ascendancy works properly

Also feel the same way. Very disappointing going through the (now) tedious leveling, to find out your class not working.
