What can you really do ?
You pick a weapon......

That dictates where on the tree you start and what skills will be available to you.

Nodes on the tree are specific to weapon and are located beside the class who goes along with the weapon.

The weapon is the choice, sure you can force a witch warrior if you want to try but none of the nodes will cooperate.

In poe i used to do things like ...
I think i want to try low life... with corrupted blood aura , and i want to
Cast on Crit , but i want to use exsanguinate , so ill be scaling physical
but im goin g to try to scale the DoT portion and not the Hit..

And then i would go and try to make that work .
And i did , and i had a great time.

That will never happen here.
You are funneled into a very small section of builds that can do the content without it being monotonous.

This is not a place for a theory crafter.
If i get stuck as I did at Jamanra, I cleared to him but my gear has flaws I have low lightning.

So what am I to do .. well i cleared the Dreadnaught 4 times ... nothing dropped to change the situation.

Im broke casue i tried to craft something, which you should NEVER do!!!!
in PoE2 you are a trash picker. Just pick up scraps until you can glue them into an orb and go buy something from the store.

I stopped, i know what i could do , i could have wasted my day endlessly running maps i already cleared , I went out and cleaned the yard instead.

Is there anyone here envious of me ?
Im sitting here looking at the back no leaves , cleaned out garden beds.
Im going to bet i had a better time, than if i had played PoE2 today.

I didn't read it all but from my perspective. I never played PoE, fell in love with PoE2 a few months ago, was excited this game was going to give me years of enjoyment.

New patch, was so excited about it. Didn't read patch notes only watched live stream of GG announcement. Installed new patch and prepared for me and my buddies gaming session we have every Sat night from 8pm until 5 am my time.

Launched game, no crashes, no bugs, just felt shitter and shitter as we played. Like we were weaker or something. Thought gear was decent as we actually had a few yellows and even 2 uniques.

After about 3 hours we just said, this isn't fun and played a different game.

i actually think that the game is "FINE"

its actually "balanced" in ideal situations.

the huge problem is the ideal situation involves us gaining gear.

poe as a franchise always had this problem since the very beginning.

gear drops are SHIT. you drop literal shit most of the time. you rarely ever feel rewarded.

fight a tough rare while first starting out? high chances are you get SHIT that doesnt benefit your build.

and even when you do get good shit. after a few levels you've outleveled the gear already.
