Dawn of the Hunt - What We’re Working On
GGG: We know better than you.
Also GGG: we nerfed minions because you got too many gem levels, so instead of reducing gem level overabundance we wrecked minions before you get the gem levels. Look at my sidebar guys. Look how much I supported GGG over the years. I have over 7000 hours in POE1 and less than 40 in POE2. Your vision is awful, misguided and destroying the game I and many others fell in love with and supported. You screwed over Last Epoch by insisting this patch go out when they wanted to, knowing full well what their release date was. I pray their update obliterates the POE2 playerbase so maybe, just maybe you will learn an important lesson. Do not disrespect your fans, we are what made you and kept you afloat. You guys are not Blizzard. You do not have a fanbase of sycophants that will put up with making the game progressively worse and keep coming back. We were the people that refused to deal with that from Blizzard, so we aren't about to do it for you. I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breathe a sigh of relief; because there will be so much to look forward to.

Do you exiles not have time to waste? Poe 2 is not fun, just anons another poe 1 league, or redesign poe 2. Slow gameplay with souls like mechanics it's solution for storytelling game, that u can play once in 5-10 years. For mass players. League format for fast and fun arpg games, not for poe 2. It's simple. I can complete story of poe 2 when you release 1.0, and maybe in 3-5 years, because i love lore. But play every 3-6 months this slow and sadness game... No.

" ACT 3 areas are just too big and mov speed is just too slow. It has nothing to do (only) with lack of TPs, act 3 feels like forever to finish. Most of these areas MUST be reduced by at least 40% of their size so that the campaign progress can feel more smooth. Also, character mov speed should be at least 10% higher in general, without any boots. This would make the game feel more agile and perhaps reduce the perception of slow. Players want to move quickly to endgame, specially when they have already played the campaign a couple of times, but act 3 is a pain in the ass. Everytime you think it is over, there is another giant huge area to walk around. We don`t want more interesting things to kill in these areas, we just want to finish them as fast as we can, more things in the area means additional time to complete. |

Just do not work guys, it is a waste if time and we all see that, you somehow reduce the value added with your work, it is a rare thing to be able to, but you are gods at it. How did you manage with 4 months of work to make a decent launch to absolute garbage, I do not know, this must be your super power.

Probably just screaming into the void here, but I may as well.
You guys have completely missed the point with this patch. I had a build that was deleting T16 bosses in a second, and I agree it needed to be scaled back. The problem isn't just that our damage has fallen, it's that nothing FEELS good. When I was leveling through the previous patch, there was always some node on the tree I'd see and think, wow, that's going to be incredible for my build when I get to it. I look at that same node now and think, can I even afford that downside? If I can, will the payoff even be worth it? When I got a time lost sapphire or my Against the Darkness Diamond, I thought, holy hell, this is incredible, I'm going to get such a massive boost! Now I'm thinking, is there a single talent within range of a gem node I would actually consider taking? Is it even remotely worth allocating points away from useful nodes to junk nodes for this gem? No, not really, into the random junk tab it goes. And I'm thinking this looking at my pre nerf large radius ATD, with a medium, it's not even a consideration, straight into the junk tab it goes. When I got a new skill gem level, I used to think, awesome, I'm gonna get even stronger! Now I think, maybe I should hold off, I can barely afford to cast my skills as is, and trading power to gear or spec for mana would give me a net loss or break even in power anyway. Nothing feels good, nothing feels desirable, there is no talent, or skill gem, support gem, or item drop I'm even looking forward to, because none of it feels like it's going to make me any stronger than I am right now. And I don't feel strong right now. All the people comparing this to Dark Souls have clearly never played Dark Souls, because Dark Souls is WAY more forgiving than this. Every single boss since halfway through act 2 has been capable of one shotting me from full health. I have literally 0 margin for error on half of the boss attacks in the game. I was playing with a friend over the weekend, both trying out Amazons, and he ended up giving up, because white mobs were becoming more of a slog than rares were at this point in the game in the last patch. The only reason I made it through was because I was blessed with a spear with 100% physical damage on it. And a gear requirement wouldn't be so bad if there were any way at all to get gear during the campaign. I'm on act 2 cruel now, and I have seen one Regal drop so far. I've gotten about 20 exalts, and only 1 regal. I've been disenchanting every item I got for shards, so I've been able to roll a grand total of 5 items up to rare so far, and one of them managed to pay off with my spear. The whole power fantasy of a video game comes from visible growth. There needs to be a clear vision for how I'm going to get stronger, whether it's by changing a build, getting gear, leveling up, whatever. That just isn't here right now. I feel weak, I know I'm going to stay weak. If I come up against something I can't handle, I have no path to progress to get through it. If you felt the need to bring player power down, fine. Do it by lowering numbers, not by making half of the options for improvement stop working entirely. |

Dear GGG,
Do you genuinely believe you're on the right path here? After countless streamers, many of whom are significantly more skilled than the average player, have voiced their concerns and frustrations about the game, you still seem to think that only a few minor tweaks are needed and everything will be fine. If even top players are saying the game feels bad and unnecessarily punishing, what do you think the average player is experiencing? The answer is simple: they’re not thinking about PoE2 at all anymore. They’ve already left. Here’s a very simple suggestion: try playing the game yourselves. Not the testers but yourself. Start each class and play from Act 1 to Act 3 Cruel. Then come back and honestly tell us how much fun you had. I’m willing to bet you’ll quickly realize the issues go far beyond just the Huntress being unplayable without Parry. You’ve got a long way to go, and unfortunately, right now you still seem to be heading in the wrong direction. Good luck. It was fun, once. Last edited by kemaloski#6604 on Apr 7, 2025, 2:02:39 AM
