Nobody asked but here's my take on this patch.
1. Power balance.
GGG took huge chunk of dmg from almost every class. Nerfs were needed but instead of nerfing core strenghts of each uber strong build they nerfed every part of the builds making them complete horse shit without any compensations whatsoever. Mobs are as strong as they were (yes I know, they got their HP nerfed but there is more to that story), they are much faster than a player and they deal much more dmg than a player. It seems like GGG released Warrior in horrible state and then nerfed everything to the lvl of a Warrior instead of nerfing top and buffing bot of the scale. And to top that all off they sprinkled it with another 100 skill/support gems before they even figured out what should be the baseline for already existing skill/support gems.
2. Gaining power.
Not only we lost plenty of power from nerfs but also the most important source of power in this game which is gear is hard to come by. Regal and exalts are rare as fuck in the campaign (personally had like 8 regals and 6 exalts with rare item disenchants) gold is still needed for potential respecs since everyone tries to figure out what's working and what's not (not everyone is giga gaming genius) so gambling for items/buying from merchants is also limited. I feel at all times weak. Not to mention that with already limited amount of exalts and regals you are not guaranteed to get an upgrade because hey, hey, hey, it's gamba time. You try to get an upgrade to ease the proccess of playing this game, you slam those regals/exalts on an item with potential just to get a damn Light Radius for the 10th time.
3. Rewards.
I mentioned that regals and exalts are rare because finding rare items or orbs themselves feels like christmas which is in complete disproportion to how hard it is to go through the game. Rare with this wierd wisp empowerment after 3 mins fight giving me 2 magic items, augmentation/transmutation orb and 30 gold is so damn disapointing. Heck, I fought Jamanra for 15 (!!!!!!) minutes. I got 1 rare item, 1 regal shard, 1 each of augmentation/transmutation orb and 150 gold. What the fuck? And I didn't feel this joy of "hell yeah, I beat this fuck, let's go!" because I instantly think about "shit, if this was so damn hard, I'm heading to act 3, Chimera, Big ape, ah fuck VIPER! I don't want to...". There literally nothing for me to ENJOY to overcome those challanges because I can't even get anything out of it, no enjoyment from overcoming it, no loot I would be happy with. Just thoughts about how miserable what's next will be.
4. Slugfest and soulslike gameplay.
So we have our power reduced, loot is unrewarding, monsters are as strong as they were in numbers as before... it's not 1 step forwards 2 steps back situation anymore. It's more like 1 step forward 10 dodgerolls back. I recently came accross someone that pointed out that Souls games even though they have this type of pace, they are balancing game out by not putting too many enemies at once which is not the case in PoE since we are not fighting 5 monsters at the time, it's 15 monsters at the time. Which all of it resulting in prolonging combat so much it become mind numbing, there is no excitment, there is no fun, just "hit, dodgeroll, dodgeroll, dodgeroll, dodgeroll, dodgeroll, hit" rinse and repeat. Again, 15 mins spent on Jamanra, I can understand 5 min boss fight but 15 is nuts. Sure, my build was dogshit at that time but I don't think I should be THAT punished for testing out things... in the campaign... on normal difficulty. I played for 12 hours so far and I'm still in Normal campaign. This is absolutely horrible.
Overall game is too mind numbingly slow and too unrewarding to have fun for casual player which was one of the goals of this game, to bring casual players to PoE. I feel overly punished for not being damn genius in terms of making a build that is long term viable or simply for playing the game before meta builds start to appear. What sucks even more I don't have back up plan because most of the classes were hit so hard with nerfs that my previous build I got familiar with (Ice Strike Charged Staff Monk) instead of being weaker is straight up dogshit. Which means, from my perspective I need to wait untill someone figure out good build I will find appealing so I can play the game without losing my mind. And I payed money... for this?!
I had a really good reply to your awesome statement, but it was removed by GGG because i agreed with you and 100's of others on this!

Game crashes since the update. Very few issues before however, now it not playable.
Im contemplating getting a botnet and do it my self openly so support can actually contact me and not for me to wait 1month for a reply....
Been trying to unlock my account for 4 months now after thea leak in december.....
