WTF

This is my first title with GGG. I tried playing POE1, after playing the POE2 EA at release just to get some bearing on the differences.

But after this latest page... Holy shit wtf are you thinking GGG? I'm here to tell you that what ever logic went into this patch's balancing is absolutely flawed and oh so totally out of touch with the game. At least based on my experience so far. 0.1 was brought in line and was actually fun. This is an epic order of magnitude worse that 0.1...

Drops are absolutely horrid... Gear and currency. How TF did you conclude that players are just going to slog their way through the story without gear? Or some kind of reward for suffering through these stupidly punishing trash mobs and bosses with useless drops? There's no way you actually thought about this.

The classes just feel tedious and boring... All but a few "meta" skills suck and are useless. The character speed, time-to-kill and so on are all wrong.

Come on guys... wth...

I'm incredibly disappointed in this level of effort. Especially after the hype...

I honestly think they expected more people to remember that trading exists, which I don't think was entirely unreasonable on their part. I'm personally shocked by how many people seem to be choosing protracted and prolonged suffering over spending 10 minutes on the trade site once in awhile, so I think they might have also been taken by surprise a little bit.

The trade system is just as painful. Between scammers, price fixers, non-responders, people who jack prices when they get whispers and people messaging from the wrong league it isn’t worth the hassle.

You are not supposed to trade in the campaign, you are also not supposed to rush it either and you're supposed to grind a little.

Oh - there's no choice but to grind if you want to progress. I re-run the maps several times hoping for better drops... Only to be further disappointed and burnt.

I can't improve my equipment
I can't buy it in trade

With love, trying closing the forum and opening the trade site and seeing what you can find. There's less currency out there right now which means your currency is worth more than you think it is.

Things were slowing down for me at the end of Act 2, so I took a pause and traded my ~5 exa and a smattering of other orbs and literally doubled my Life and Mana, quadrupled DPS on my two main abilities, and got all of my resists above 50%.

The trade system is clunky no question, but there are ways to avoid these problems with a bit of effort. And I'm sorry but "it isn’t worth the hassle" is just an absolutely bonkers statement when the alternative is "slogging" through the campaign so incredibly slowly that you're not even enjoying it.

When you're searching, always filter for items posted recently; that alone drastically reduces most of the problems you mentioned. Any time you see someone "jacking prices", ignore them. This will permanently remove their listings from your search results. Don't whisper people who are AFK.

I've traded for at least a dozen upgrades so far in 0.2 and I haven't met a single scammer or non-responder yet.

Yeah, see, I'm pretty sure that's just an arbitrary nonsense rule that people made up. Like, why? Who ever said this and why should we care what they think?

Without trade the campaign would have been an extremely painful experience as it seems to have been for many of you. With trading I am breezing through it faster than I did in 0.1 and so far I'm holding strong at 0 deaths.

so much about the Vision that groundloot should be a significant part of the game right? Btw now on act2 cruel and found 4 ex overall. that's it. I also love those big bosses that leave you 3 blues and a transmutation orb. Great loot design.

regaling? sure always love those stun 60 threshold 40 mana items you pick up, surely the regal will be something good right? lol.

I completely agree with you. I love the game, I respect the team for the effort they put it into it but this needs to be sorted.

We are simply not having fun (which is the #1 goal of the game).Basic currency drop rates need to be immensely increased. I feel like I have 12 children and unemployed.
