sorry no amount of white knighting will stop this fiasco

Nobody's white knighting guy. Just trying to help people maybe have a little more fun with the game; I seem to be enjoying it a lot more than most folks here and the biggest difference I see is their refusal to trade for upgrades. That's it. Not every thread needs to be a shouting match.
Eff the trade site with an iron bar. Worst most archaic embarrassing trade system since the early 2000's. Shameful this is the best GGG can do.

Many people say they have a monetary reason for encouraging RMT. People are talking. Lots of people.

How TF did you conclude that players are just going to slog their way through the story without gear?

I honestly think they expected more people to remember that trading exists, which I don't think was entirely unreasonable on their part. I'm personally shocked by how many people seem to be choosing protracted and prolonged suffering over spending 10 minutes on the trade site once in awhile, so I think they might have also been taken by surprise a little bit.

Because the non automated trading is such a HORRIBLE experience, that we prefer to face whatever downsides of playing SSF or very slose to SSF.

Really, having to convo, join party, teleport THEN trade is so cumbersome That I swore I will NEVER EVER do it again!

Then in all honesty man I really have no idea why you would choose to play PoE in the first place. Your free time is such a precious commodity; why not find a game that is a better fit for you?

It is unquestionably cumbersome and clunky, but if you are going to play PoE then it's honestly super silly to completely alter your entire experience of the game to avoid it. It's ~6 mouse clicks and some dragging; a single trade can be done in less than a minute and you only have to trade once in awhile to get the benefit.

Kind of seems like you're choosing to avoid it as some kind of personal protest against the design rather than a practical assessment of how burdensome the process actually is which might be admirable if I thought it had any hope of compelling GGG to implement in-game trade features (it doesn't).

You seems to think you are the owner of how to play the game. I play POE2 because the game is great.. the game.. not the trading .. not the economy.. not its community (that is mostly super toxic). I just play SSF (Self imposed as if a friend ask for help I can still help him) and I am having ZERO difficulties... I am having fun. I decided that Trading is just detrimental to this game and decided to stay away from it.

It is not personal protest.. it is just that trade is so cumbersome that nullifies completely my fun and immersion. I prefer to just redo an area and find another solution.
