Game Crashing - Oodle failed to decompress

have simulair client stuf game crashes make me mental. all the time random shutdown. especely when i try to open card tap. game just crash then repeat 10-25 crash in a row when i try to get back on me char. ore get random invalid header crashes. its so enoing. never experians so many problems. today alone 145 crashes. and after the new nvidia driver it was even so bad that i was not even able to get to caracter menu XD then delete driver and i finaly able to play but still game crash when opening card stash tap. ore some times when opening P skill tree while in maps. and then again when i restart the game it just strait away crash when i try to load in the game. and then randomly after 10-25 trys i get in. and then i avoid the card stash tap and then i can play. but yeah feels like a gamble every time a spinning wheel. it make it so less fun to play. also in logs some kernal:

" yeah man i have the exect same issue man its so enoing. one of the things that trigger dis for me is when i open me card stash tap what is packt with 1000s of cards xD its like a spinning gamble wheel and then 10% chance the game not crash. and today for some reason after nvidia driver update also i incounter dis going to passive skill tree. and deleting nvidia driver removed dis issue like a litle bit but not solved it XD dis stuf make me so mental man i realy love the game but its so unplayble right new. worst part is ingame self mapping never crashes. its always when i open card stash tap. and then when i restart the game i klik on me char then BOEM freeze and crash. ore some random invalid header popup. some times i solve it by login on a lvl 1 char but that also dont works 100% of the time. %Appdata% also work some times but also not always. some times even after that it still crash. but some times when it hard stuck it solve it like 40% of the time but still not full solution :( |

Hi, I had the same problem and error in only one location - The Blackwood (Interlude).
I tried client verification from here - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3072628 It didn't help, as the verification itself crashed by 30%) A solution similar to here helped - https://steamcommunity.com/app/238960/discussions/0/595152144826397963/ I have a stand alone client, I just deleted all the files (and folders) in the game folder except PathOfExile.exe I downloaded the game again and now everything is working without crashes. |

Just had this crash and was able to read the error real quick and it seemed to be related to my baby piety mtx pet i had running around in my hideout.
My fix was to go onto another character -> reclaim the mtx (crashed that character) -> previous char was fine. If you're runnning any random pets / mtx try to disable them or reclaim them on a different character you don't play. |
