First Bex then Chris, now Rory has left, POE 1 is all but dead now. GGG is done.
" Nah u got it backwards. They created Ruthless to test their design philosophies for PoE2. The thing is tho, Ruthless is still more PoE than PoE2 is, that's why tycrus doesn't want them to change it further :D Considering the fact that the only Ruthless dev left a few weeks back, it's very unlikely that Ruthless gets changed. I wonder how they even continue on with Ruthless, since they are short on Devs for the regular game already. |

After playing Last Epoch and No rest for the wicked for a bit, I just found myself wanting to play more PoE 2, I really think the doomsaying is getting kinda ridiculous, hopefully people just decide to come back after full release instead of cooking up conspiracy theories.

" Each to their own I guess. I don't hate PoE2, but I have no desire to play it atm. Right now I'm addicted to LE, even tho I already installed Expedition 33 and No Rest for the Wicked, I just can't stop. Pushing for uber abbaroth right now, having the time of my life. If anything, playing LE makes me want to play PoE. Last edited by Sadaukar#2191 on May 1, 2025, 4:49:42 AM

PoE offline when?
Just imagine the possibilities: - Pick your own patch - Pick whatever league mechanics you want enabled - Original or 3.13 harvest - No trading needed - Adjusted loot for single player (even without the adjustment it`s fine) - Enable disabled items/currencies - Enable disabled mechanics - 3.13 Endgame mapping (printing deli mirror maps with fossils omg) - Perma Vaal skill builds back (bloodstained fossil back) And so much more... one can wish lmao Last edited by BluValk#6116 on May 1, 2025, 6:12:31 AM

" Not gonna happen unless someone from within uploads a complete code online that is used to run PoE. You can't even data mine it as it's on GGG's own servers so better give up on that sadly. |

Nothing lasts forever, soon the coping players with 30 supporter packs will be able to finally turn on their gears and realise them throwing their wallets at the company made things worse than better (shocker)

"Free-to-play games need money thrown at them, they depend on their players or they wouldn’t last even a month without their support. Don’t blame the players who buy supporter packs to back the company; blame the company that betrayed them, the one that hasn’t managed things properly since some developers left. Blame the company that lies to you, telling you they’ll do something and then making ridiculous excuses (let’s remember the whole “we couldn’t imagine that removing people from the POE1 dev team would delay POE1” thing, they literally said that in their last apology video. You don’t need to be an Illuminati to figure out that if you remove people from a dev team, that project is going to get delayed due to lack of manpower…). Blame the ones actually at fault, not the users who support in good faith and don’t expect to be lied to and betrayed to their faces. It’s shameful, there’s nothing good to expect from GGG anymore, not with POE2 or anything else. PS: I’ve barely supported them compared to others, just one supporter pack and I bought all the stash tabs (across several leagues, not all at once), which wasn’t exactly cheap, and I regret doing it. If I had known they were going to leave POE1 in this state, I wouldn’t have given them a single euro. I’ve only played 5 or 6 leagues, not even 1300 hours total. It’s the best game I’ve ever played, but I never would’ve spent a cent if I had known how GGG would treat their users, lying straight to their faces. It’s a complete lack of respect for the people who supported them, for the people who made them great. As far as I’m concerned, they could shut down today and I wouldn’t care, they don’t deserve anyone’s support anymore. Last edited by Davoker#7948 on May 4, 2025, 10:14:07 AM

" The thing is, they let players believe for four years that they were throwing money at a mechanical and visual upgrade of PoE1, with a new campaign and classes. Jonathan even admitting to him "knowing" this for a long time. So they kept taking money from PoE1 players and invested it into a game they never asked for - and didn't really know existed. And when that game turns out very different, people get hurt, disappointed and sometimes mad. So, in a way you are right, supporting them was clearly bad for PoE1. A little bit of honesty from them would've gone a long way. |

" Good points. I'm from the group that loved the original 2019 idea (new skill gem system, new graphics + better boss fights, 2 campaigns, same endgame) and guess lots of people from the same group got pissed as well after finding out they abandoned PoE1 for a new game. They/and me then tried PoE 2, noticed that melee is still dog pie and the game overall feels awkward (souls like gameplay but too much monsters chasing player characters to make it work) and now have two broken products in one way or another. Would not be surprised if 3.26 is the final PoE 1 league ever and make it Legacy 2.0 but with a lore/league mechanic where it makes sense. Then i guess GGG will salvage from eiter games the best parts and abandon one game (aka putting it to life support, servers still running + occasional bug fixes) and can now focus the meat of manpower on the new(or old) main product. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
