I completely agree such a change shouldn't have such an effect. I provided hypothetical what-if's based on my real-world experience where such mistakes wreaked havoc in some of the biggest IT shops in the world (Fortune 100s, I worked in several) and made headlines. Your mistake is using logic and common sense reasoning. The types of errors I referenced can result in bizarre consequences that defy logic and common sense. Did any of us assume for instance, when reading the notes, that a patch adjusting item drop rates and skills was likely to break the game to where we aren't able to play it? Or that rolling the game back to a previous working version would make it undeployable? Welcome to my world. I do this for a living (as in try to prevent these problems from occurring). [/quote] well its more like they tried to do something in the background against duping, but that system backfired and started to delete legal items and illegal too probably, ggg relised how bad situation is , and how much stuff would people loose and grabbed theyr crap mid air which resulted in a mess of item restoration that spiraled in to even more bugs . all of that could be prevented if they did small scale test by running dev enviroment league, and fixing things before dropping in this nuke of update.
