Loot Buff was a bandaid on a gunshot wound

There's a fine line between games like Diablo 4, where the loot pinata and methods to get, are just fucking dumb... and then theres POE where the pinnata is empty 99% of the time... And no, i dont consider any of those repeat lvl -20 uniques anything that actually dropped. You might fool a few for a moment or two, but once they see the pattern, yea... But thats how GGG has rolled since get go.

I honestly don't know why GGG doesn't let us target farm for more than just the pinnacle bosses and their uniques. If I have to kill a boss 1000 times knowing that eventually that item i want will drop it would feel a little better......
But current endgame doesn't support being able to do anything you actually want to do when you want to do it.
You have to crawl naked through 15 miles of glass to do anything you actually want to do.

I don't. This is something they could address, but, im fairly certain, they wont, ever.

The reality is, the reason that loot sucks so bad, is cause they intentionally made it that way.

Light radius - absolutely uselss, serves no mechanical purpose in game, its just a relic from a game long past its time.

Mana / Life on Kill - Again, absolutely fucking useless, serves no purpose, as its easily out weighed and 99.9% likely to have people opt for mana / life on hit. And, theres literally no mechanic in the game that interacts with these mods in any fashion, they're garbage.

Accuracy / Ev / Ar. Sure, they are ok, for selected builds, but, between these and the previous useless affixes, and the WEIGHT that they have intentionally assigned them, its just a joke. Over and over, light radius and mana on kill on fucking everything.

Its intentional dilution of the pool system, instead of creating useful affixes and at least alleviating the pain a little, its intentionally weighted to pain alot.

Thats the issue, and many people are just tired of shit junk items (this includes the very underwhelming uniques - wow, not very good at all). And, frankly, though a few more rares are dropping, the currency is not that much better all around, so most still arent going to engage in (haha , what a laugh this word is in this game) 'crafting'.

GGG claims people should be slammin ... bullshit. There is in no way enough currency for a player to 'slam' anything but their fists on their desk.

That said, i still like the game, mostly... Guess im a masochist.

yep... replied with this exact sentiment a day ago.... theres more loot... but its still garbage coz of the reasons listed. EVERY SINGLE TIME ITS THE SAME USELESS STATS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER....
crafting and more loot fixing 0 issues as entire itemisation is null - getting +10 items with +5 to dmg and +5 to str will fix nothing.. from start to last item we collect the same afixes and there are 0 interesting afixes and variety of afixes we search for

they should ass item, class, skill specific afixes - like afixes for shockwave, aoe on hammers

and upgrade the base weapon types to be more meaningful than just poe 1 copies.. and no.. adding +4 to fire on base item is not a meaningful weapon type.

so i suggest... just forcing them to add more afixes - that matters as adding whatever to craft or increasing the amount of loot - will not increase fun as we just get +10 to dmg instead of +5 or 7.

I'll be real. Why is it a problem if you have best in slot gear at 200+ hours? Like you're 200 hours in....
I have 400+ hours on a character and still don't have best in slot for everything. That's insane levels of grinding. Mirror tier items being even 5x as common would still mean less than 100 people with non mirrored mirror tier items in each slot.

For the people bound to cry about my statement I only have one response. "Who cares? It doesn't affect you."

Exactly this. I am like 200 hours into 0.2.0 with my SSF warrior and I am nowhere near mirror tier items. I am still struggling to get my chaos res maxed out. I am struggling to get my health over 3k, I am still struggling to not die every third map, I still haven't got my 4th ascendency because I just can't get the damage output needed for chaos trials. I don't know what the expectation is here. Grind a thousand hours with stretches of dozens of hours without a single item upgrade because no "crafting" mechanic produces anything usable reliably?

And... don't forget to come back in three months (like as if you would be finished in 3 months at this rate)... to do it all again... O,o

HAHA. Yea... mmk George.

Pretty far fetched grab, isnt it?
GGG - Why you no?

I mean, one thing is for sure, I'll never play melee again lmao. I gave it a shot this season and I am in too deep (I am probably out soon for the season, not gonna start a new char). This game is so anti-melee it's mind blowing lol.
In 0.1(good old days), no one complained about loot, well maybe but not a major sound over.

Becasue people are doing many crazy BD and OP and you can get almost everything from trade. even at the last few days when 0.2 is coming, there are plenty request on the channels. even exp lost was not that heavy complained.

Then, as we all knew, 0.2 started and what we had learned and established suddenlly gone.

So the game became hard and starting losing numbers, then patches coming up, then all different problems because most of the players can't find a solid way to survive least, etc...

And for the loot buff, maybe only good for few days.

Saddly, I love this game, I can study all night to find which sockect is best for Heroic jewel to combine with a From Nothing or a Metacontrolled, I can spend so many D on refresh Herioc to try new random numbers to find more interesting notable points, I'm not a POE1 player but I tried to learn all about jewels and be so happy about it. But the sockets are gone.
I'm legit convinced at this point that the only people complaining about more good loot are the RMT sellers.
[Removed by Support]

There is no other explanation as to why good loot, not rare loot I mean actually good loot, is so rare.

4) RNG craft hundreds of times to get a single usable upgrade.

you just described the exact structure of the game... this is literally how it is designed so you actually play the game to get progression.
though why would you put trash in your vault? ID the item, it either has potential or doesn't then you slam some orbs on it. it either comes out good or becomes a dud.

if it has one REALLY GOOD perk, you might vault that in a specific tab to recombinate but otherwise jus vendor/disenchant/dismantle it.

There’s so much (garbage) loot dropping you have to sort through it would literally take 20%-30% of playtime to do this with all of it. If you enjoy that great for you but it’s clearly a bad design.
