This is Why Most People Never Come Back or Never stay - Map Boosting

you don't have to stack towers? you can jus map and put 3 tablets in 1 tower, it'd still be mostly fine.
people just have a weird obsession with min-maxing every map for rarity when GGG have even said there is a diminishing returns on rarity value.
I lit up the lighthouse, why can't I choose any map I want to play within the range illuminated by the lighthouse? And it takes several hours to clean up uninteresting maps one by one?

This is a funny point cuz I honestly dont really notice the difference between boosting maps and not boosted ones.
You can still get lucky and get good stuff in some rando average map you are on your way to the tower and can still get unlucky and get nothing good from boosted map

I'm a casual and this is my thoughts. Idk, to me im just running maps hoping things will drop. There are no good maps or bad maps for me, just maps. I 100% acknowledge though this is cause im a casual player that is just happy when I see an ex drop. I barely even use my currency for anything, I just like accruing it.

Yeah, i had maps that did not have any special affixes or even high rarity yet got great drops.

Then i had maps i had a ton of rarity from towers+waystone affix and didnt get a single thing that was of note.

Rarity simply doesnt feel like something that guarantees anything

Yes. Running a node with no events because you have to in order to path to a node you actually want to run does not feel good. Even if you *can* find good items there, slotting a waystone you don't really like into a node you don't really care about just isn't a great gaming experience.

I certainly like towers better than before, but activating three tablets feels like I'm just making the nodes worth running, as opposed to exciting to run.

What if maps had more events and rarity baseline, and towers were rare but super powerful? Something special along the lines of finding a citadel.
The dudes who will spend 3 hours squeezing every single drop of "juice" out of a single Waystone and then complain they didn't have fun doing it are the same ones talking about ignoring Wisps despite the fact that they very obviously boost both quality and quantity.

This is really simple guys if it's super tedious spending all of that time juicing then don't f'ing do it - really. I bet if you sat down and really did the math you would find out that spending less time juicing and more time just running the maps is going to net you just as much if not more loot in the long run because running slightly less juiced maps faster is better than sitting around in your hideout trying to figure out how to get from 478% increased whatever to 512% because you're going to have a panic attack if you run at anything less than perfect optimization.

And no, this is absolutely not what is driving people away from the game. The average player doesn't obsess about this shit the way you guys do for real. People just juice their maps a bit and run them they're not breaking out the abacus and protractors to try and figure out the perfect conjunction of towers and modifiers and waking up in a cold sweat if they accidentally ran a 99% optimized Waystone.
+1
Juicing is extremely horrible and tedious. Those people that say "don't do it then" are beyond me lmao. Loot is fun, killing more monsters is fun, thats why we juice.

"It's a video game"
Games are meant to be fun, and we paid for fun. Hope they remove the juicing from towers and invest in a scarab-like system instead.

for those without a rhoa or a temporalis and a non-agility char, they spend a good portion of their time 'walking'.

people wanna kill stuff, not walk. people wanna feel strong, not 10 button combo.

if i wanna press many buttons, i can just play RTS / fighter game. would feel more rewarding there.
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
`What are divs?`
Yep sometimes i think of going back or even create a new toon, then I remember juicing maps, immediately saying nah I'm good.
