Upcoming Plans for Patch 0.2.1
" How about you reduce the actual requirement of stats and maybe give more resistances to the existing runes. As it stands, I absolutely need them to not brick my character, so these additional runes are nice not really something we get to use. |

" Just let us choose layout based on biom. As long as you insist on forcing us to run layouts we don't want to run this problem you're trying to solve will persist. This is exacerbated by how the tower work where you have to clear layouts you don't want to buff and occasionally have to clear layouts you want to buff in order to reach to tower. By allowing us to choose based on biom this problem goes away as well. Then you might be able to live with the fact that Towers are just more annoying versions of scarabs. Love the changes. But with the revamp of Socketables I think it would make a lot more sense to allow you to unsocket them without losing them. Otherwise, ppl will never even try those expensive ones and sell them in the market. Please make the game fun! we don't care about realism.

I'm a filthy casual so many of these things don't even affect me that much personally due to never making it too far into the "end game" so maybe this will be a bad take from more of an observer or someone chronically stuck in campaign mode (so correct me if I'm wrong)..
As I read the patch notes of recent patches I'm getting very strong early D4 vibes. While these changes certainly seem positive and good they also seem like GGG just slowly and begrudgingly relenting on all the things players have been complaining about since the beginning but it's being presented as new "content" or as a "fix" to some unforeseen outcome. How could the game be this far along and only now is it apparent that X map is too common or Y loot is too rare etc...I get that tweaks and fixes are expected and would happen but hasn't most of this stuff been brought up by players since the very beginning of EA? Isn't there internal metrics that would have shown this months ago? I seem to remember some of these things even being argued against by GGG as a design choice only to now be presented as an oversight or a bug fix or whatever (although maybe I'm misremembering..I'm admittedly old AF). I guess I'm just a bit surprised at the slow pace of actual content being released or major changes happening. Not just lack of content but lack of new content. Even some of the changes are just tweaks to systems that were brought over from PoE1. No cool new systems? Still no armor fix? No interesting passive tree additions? No major UI improvements? Ascendency overhaul? Interesting/useful crafting that isn't overly convoluted or just gambling? New classes? It's been 6 months and the game was allegedly shooting for a release by the end of the year? At this pace it won't hit release until the end of the following year or maybe the plan is to just slowly change the game into PoE1? Not trying to bag on the game. I actually love the game but maybe I had higher hopes/expectations for it than was realistic or maybe the stated 1 year of EA time is the unrealistic part.
