Website Incorrectly Explains How Upgrades Work

It is possible to upgrade from one supporter pack to another.

This is when you pay the difference between the supporter pack that you own, and the more expensive supporter pack from the same series. In all cases, this leaves you in precisely the same condition as someone who had simply purchased the more expensive supporter pack outright (barring any missing coins if you've already used some to buy MTX).

So, for example, if you upgrade from the $160 Thaumaturge of the Vaal supporter pack to the $240 Warlord of the Karui supporter pack, you will be credited for what you have already paid ($160), and the website will require you to pay the remainder ($240 - $160 = $80).

The https://pathofexile2.com/purchase page says the following;

Early Access Supporter Pack Notes wrote:
Upgrades: You can upgrade from one of these Supporter Packs to another in the same series by clicking "Upgrade" on the desired pack. This will credit you with the difference between the pack you're upgrading to and the one you already own. The process will include any pure points packs purchased since Sep 22, 2024 12:00 PM (GMT+12). The maximum amount that upgrades can contribute is 80% of the value of a pack. Note that the Early Access and Settlers packs are in different series, so you can't upgrade from one of those to the other type. If you have any questions about this process, please contact support@grindinggear.com!

If this were accurate, I could buy the $30 Early Access supporter pack, choose to upgrade to the $480 Liberator of Wraeclast supporter pack, be credited for ($480 - $30 =) $450, and then only need to pay $30 a second time to own the $480 supporter pack in full.
Imagine the lack of introspection that would be required to spend your spare time telling people they’ve posted in the wrong section of some company's forum, only to then try accusing someone else of brown-nosing.

You can't upgrade a second time

You pay $30 + $450 and the upgrade process is complete , so that no such thing that you pay $30 again to own another Liberator of Wraeclast pack

The point that they're bringing up is incorrect wording.

"This will credit you with the difference" should instead be worded like
"This will charge you for the difference"

Why would I contact Support about an issue with a web page instead of posting it in Bug Reports and tagging it as Website so that their Web Developer finds it and can fix it?

Depends on the issue, specific account issues yes, an issue on the website that is more of a global issue? I would imagine they would forward it to the right people internally.
