HOT TAKE. I am probably the only person in the community who is not excited for 3.26

I dwelled on it for a day, watched many "Why you should be excited for 3.26" videos from content creators and still not sold on 3.26 I was more excited for next League after honourable mentions QoL video before 3.26 reveal and patch notes. Yes, many builds are buffed but it's typically 30% or so damage increase which is nothing for mechnically inferior skill like BV of Scythe. I was excited for exactly one skill being buffed, but turns out it's dot portion was buffed and it's irrelevant for the build lol. I need to go through my list of builds to "play later" and check whether they were nerfed or not. Some were not, but I wasn't particulary excited for any of them - there is reason they remained on the list. So they nerfed / killed a lot of meta builds but there is nothing to get excited about instead.

Secrets of the Atlas expansion introduces additional hustle of managing extra skills juggling monstes and buffs, makes you run maps you don't like since it works like memories did before and has bosses based on annoying existing bosses. Memory threads sounds interesting though. New crafting methods are always welcomed.

And League mechanic itself sounds pretty meh so far. Fighting one dude, for a single reward and having him as companion and making sure they don't die. No friends the League. Gearing them up sounds interesting. Hopefully adjusted gems are interesting.

Some changes are welcomed, but overall 3.26 looks pretty meh. Am I supposed to be excited for 3.26 just because we got nothing for a year?

Not quite. There's always a group of toxic positive enthusiasts who are excited about any content and say they're hyped or thrilled. It's normal - that's just the trend these days
I am and I'm not. The announcement seems to be too good. By that I mean its got a ton of stuff in it we've been asking for for years and coincidentally Zana is back after a long hiatus, something we've been asking for since she left.

League does look good though...but trailers always do.
You need to leave ur bubble If u think that everyone is excited for 3.26. I will be very suprised if 3.26 gets even close to Settlers league numbers, even tho this time its big expansion not just some filler league, and numbers will be boosted by PoE Two players checking out PoE for the first time.

Yeah all 5 remaining HC players are super hyped for pause... and nothing else.
Well, historically, the league itself is usually pretty "meh" when we get an atlas expansion. Metamorph, Archnemesis, Ritual... I personally found all of those lackluster in their own way, Metamorph and Archnemesis more than Ritual, though.

But no matter how GGG decide to structure, I think it's pretty naive to think the leagues and expansions going forward will be as good or better than the leagues of the past when PoE2 will always be a bigger priority. So it all comes down to expectations, I guess.

I'm hyped enough to play, but not hyped enough to be excited, if that makes sense. I like new ways of juicing, but I don't typically like mechanics that forcing me to run maps I don't really want to run.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Ritual was easily one of TOP leagues. Last expansion was easily the best expansion we got in history.
So lets compare:
The best expansion with biggest changes to the games ever, with decent minor league
Great expansion that changes how end game is played along with one of the best received league (Ritual)

and now we have... minor expansion that barely brings anything new, just remade content that we already had in the game with a minor league that give you one "exile" per map that will drop you 3 alch orbs if you are lucky.
On top of that it was after they had 7 more months to work on it compared to tiems when we got previous expansions.

Lets stop pretending - from now on EVERY league and EVERY expansion will be minor because they focus on PoE Two instead.

With a big enough community, any change will have someone hating it and someone loving it. That's why "people always complain"; it's not always the same people, just different subsets (aside from a few loud whiners that literally will complain no matter what).

I expect 3.26 to be a middling to low tier league, but it's still a new league. Low tier poe1 leagues can still be fun (unless it's lake of kalandra).
