I have exactly the same problem. I also cant start even the game from steam. Only possible way to start to game is download the game from client and do this : Open PoE. Let it crash and click move to trash.
Open finder and press Cmd+Shift+G Paste "~/Library/Application Support/Path of Exile/" in the text box and press enter. Open your trash and drag the PoE app into that folder. Hold down option and right-click PoE (the one you just dragged into the folder, not the one in applications). While still holding down option left click on "Open" and accept the dialog. After that i end up on the same problem and i cant even log in. They dont give a fuck about mac players |

I have the same issue, no matter just update the previous installed PoE or re-install the PoE.
Login error with this message. "There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile." My installer is the standalone version for Mac (on M1 Mac). Hope it will be fixed soon. |

Game won't even start on Steam client. It has already updated and whenever I try to start the game I'd see the icon show up and then it'll closes immediately.
I'm also playing on the M1 Mac |

Having the same issue. Steam client completely fails to launch. The standalone client just gives me the “Path of Exile” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash. error message.
I've been having these issues for the past 3-4 leagues. The workaround Blizzardík#7362 posted here in this thread has worked for me in the past, but not with this current patch. Weirdly I was able to login yesterday through the Steam client with absolutely no issues. I'm on and M2Max Macbook Pro running Sequoia 15.5. |

Thank you GGG.
After uninstalling today, I downloaded the new installer (Standalone version for Mac) and installed on M1 Macbook Air. It works now! But still need to do the trick like Mac user to do with Privacy & Security. The steps I did, 1. Clean installation with Standalone version of Path of Exile installer 2. Open Path of Exile.app in the Application folder - got an error message to move to Trash, press OK 3. Move file in the Trash back manually to the folder, "/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Path of Exile/" 4. Open the Path of Exile.app which was previously put back manually - got an error message to move to Trash 5. Go to System Settings, select the Privacy & Security from the list on the left. Scroll down to the Security and see the button to allow to Open the file anyway. This is required the Mac password. 6. The app start to download files normally. Close the Launcher after finishing download. 7. Open Path of Exile.app from the Application folder. ---- In case you don't know where is the Application Support folder, 1. Open Finder app 2. Select the Go at the top of the screen, Press the Option button which will let the Library appears, click on the Library 3. Now, you can find the Application Support folder inside the Library. |

Doesn't work.
Nothing in any message thread here has worked. GGG - where are you guys? How can you ship something without testing it? |
