Memory tears not spawning in maps ( after the patch ? )

So yeah, can I please 40/40?

Map content and influence seem to interfere with memory tears appearing.

Run maps without influence or lots of content to spawn them.

eg T16 normal map, no Eater/Exarch/Maven
Kirac missions also work well

+1 very noticeable decreased rate compared to before

This thread has been up for 5 days now. Hundreds of people reporting the same issue and not a single staff post saying anything. Where is the communication ?

This is not looking good at all.

I'm just chiming in to say I'm at 39/40 and the only thing left are those damn tears.
I did the quest on day 3/4 of the leage and havent seen one since...
If this is a bug pls GGG fix this or give us the challenge for free - it is literally impossible!

EDIT:
I read up on it whatever info i could find - some people suggested doing kirac missions and that worked for me.
I found a tear on the 25th-ish mission.
To anyone that is struggling - try running kirac missons until you get a tear.
Then spec atlas into scarab/effect/kirac missions/tear chance NOTHING else.
Now run t16s you will get some tears sometimes every 20 maps ish.
DO NOT run maps with any influence - the less additional content you have the better alegedly.
Run all your kirac missions aswell.

Something of note, I didn't see anyone mention and couldnt find as info:
The tear spawns somewhere on the map.
You can see it on the minimap.
You don't have to kill stuff for it to spawn(I'm 95% sure about this - for me it spawned off screen and i could see it on the minimap before i killed the packs that were there and this was relatively at the start of strand map).

I had the same issue. It might be pure coincidence, but I tried to "refresh" my atlas tree and it worked. I had a long streak of no memory tear spawn. I switched to an empty atlas tree of mine and ran a T16 white map without any modifiers. Then I switched back to my regular atlas tree with all points on, ran a rare T16 and bam, there was the memory tear.. I'll check my spawn rates and update here. Also, it would be good for someone with a long streak of no spawn to give a try..

My girlfriend has needed just one more tear for the longest time and she was also having this issue. We tried for days to speedrun t16 maps but to no avail.
At our wits end, trying most tips people have been mentioning, we tried to run one of the fragments (echo of trauma i believe). And about 4 maps later we finally found the last tear (30 minutes ago from time of writing).

No idea if this was coincidence or something that actually works but those are my two cents and hopefully it can help someone else.
Things that could be of note that we did as well was not run any influence or scarabs, removed the reduced chance to encounter specific boss node but kept the increased chance for memory tears and waited with fighting the merc until the end of the map because we both had tinfoil hats on.

I have the same issue, running "eater of worlds" influence at the moment to earn the "Eldritch Expedition". I also want to complete Recollections Realised and haven't seen any memory tears in a very long time.
