This is a knowledge issue.

Good/knowledgeable players that know the game can take 99% of all skill in the game and nihilate T16 maps with them. That is a fact. Will it require more investment in terms of time and/or currency? Sure. But PoE is a grinding game and people shouldn't be strangers to some farming.

Is this your first time playing a video game, or just the first time you noticed how games work? Because collecting and grinding items has always been a core mechanic for progression, whether it’s power, cosmetics, access, or story. It’s not unique to Path of Exile, it’s literally the backbone of most games.

Couldn't disagree more tbh. I honestly thought my love for this game might have died after such a gap between leagues. Especially when I played Phrecia and just felt "meh" playing it. So I quit it after 3 days. This league, however has reminded me why this is by far the the best ARPG out there and it's not even close. I haven't stopped playing since the start of the league. I've made 4 builds this league and have been having an absolute blast with the Mercs and the T 16.5 maps. This isn't even a particularly big league, yet it once again shows why PoE1 is king. There is no experience like the one PoE1 offers. I say that as someone who has super high hopes for PoE2, I love LE as well. But PoE1 continues to be on it's own level through build diversity, sound choice (which doesn't get talked about enough), massive end game features and so on. I do understand that this game isn't for everybody, though. It never will be. I'm a huge fan of the Soulsborne series as well and I will never get mad or hate on someone for not liking those games. They aren't for every gamer. And that's OK. Maybe PoE1 just isn't for you. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I'll add that I don't like BG3. God knows I've tried several times to "get into it". Everyone else seems to love it lol. But I cannot get into it. It's just not for me. Idk why. It just doesn't suit me.

Well, some people see no issue with this, but if I want to beat pinnacle bosses with Sweep, it's not possible....at least for normal player; anomalies like Ben should be exclude because he could beat the game with auto attack if he wanted.

Anyway, the game is seriously out of balance.

a good player can make almost every build work on a reasonable budget, except the obvious outliers like conversion trap

That is the game cycle.

If you want a game with a coherent, consistent playstyle and plan, then Elden Ring, Diablo, all are closer. You would play PoE for the chaotic switching.
