UPDATE: 7 months and still waiting on support

I suspect that it's something more than this, because there now seems to be two trenches of support timeline (which we've had to calculate via deduction, GGG haven't had the courtesy to actually describe the issues/how long we should expect to wait) - one with near instant response times, and those for MTX transfers (which apparently has the wait time of a major medical procedure).
