That way, those of us who actually want to discuss this constructively can do so without interruption.

As a veteran player I do not agree. These supposed unavoidable deaths happen when players have a skewed view of their build's power and are overconfident or don't comprehend map mods and mechanics.

These deaths are fully preventable by the player if the player is willing to adjust and move on from blaming the game for every mistake they make.

It’s not some magical trick that demands endless playtime. And in case you didn’t know, most of us also have to get up regularly for work to make a living.

I'm not saying we should completely remove the EXP penalty upon death—just suggesting, how about adjusting the numbers a bit? Does that really come across as blaming the game?

And how is “If you don’t die, there’s no death penalty” considered reasonable advice? If that’s reasonable, then “If you don’t have bread, eat cake” would also be considered reasonable, right?

Again, I’m not arguing that all penalties should be removed or that players should never die. I simply proposed the idea of possibly tweaking the penalty values.

Where exactly in my post am I blaming the game? Is the death EXP penalty somehow a sacred number that must never be touched?

I never said we should remove it—just offered a suggestion to slightly adjust it. And that’s now considered blaming the game?
