You can also bait the mob out of the vortex, but it's really the same overall problem. This mod is completely terrible.

Giving mobs invulnerability while they can freely slaughter you, when they have some of the other mods that exist in this game (like Volcanic Crags that causes ridiculous DoT, or a different aura that prevents health recovery) is just really bad. The devs need to find better ways to prevent players from deleting mobs instantly.
