Random transfigured build

" Well, seems like i have a lot to learn about crafting. I'm playing on trade league, but i thought it becomes very boring when i buy whatever i need from the trade. Moreover, i managed to defeat Shaper, but in six portals. I guess i have to practice it a bit if i want one-portal run. Now about the helmet: i've got a ilvl 82 crown from the ritual and bought shaper's exalt and a bunch of corrupted essences.
crafting i did
1. Obtain acrhdemon crown (possibly ilvl 84, but 82 was fine);
2. single Shaper's exalt slam to get the influence; OR 2.1. get ANY influence no the helmet 2.2. Harvest Randomize influence untill you get shaper's influence 3. spam essence of horror (30% more elemental damage) OR hysteria (30$ more damage when on low life) until you get hypothermia, trap and mine damage or flat critical chance 4. fill with other mods (exalted orb or crafting bench) My result is: There's another method i thought about. It's more effective, but requires expensive fossils i don't have currency for (don't try it, suff. cannot be changed - reforge crit on 2-suffix shaper helmet will always add +#% crit chance so you can use essences as before):
other method
1. and 2. are the same
3. Spam Faceted & Glyphic fossils until you get 30% more damage from Faceted fossil and two other useful suffixes, which are Hypothermia, trap and mine damage or flat critical chance (optional) 4. Add "Increased area of effect" as a prefix. First step is to make sure you have a free prefix and 1/2 annul if you dont; 4.a. Suffixes cannot be changed, scour, block mana, two exalt slams, repeat if you didn't get what you wanted. Very reliable, but you'll need about 18 exalt slams which is expensive 4.b. Craft "suffixes cannot be changed" and use "Reforge influence" from harvest. It will reforge prefixes only and will add an influence modifier. You'll need about two reforges, which is very cheap. However, if you fill prefixes, you have to 1/2 annul. If you remove suffix, return to step 3. Now i think about crafting a +2 dagger for myself. Crafting method is the same as described here. However, i don't need any "damage over time", therefore i'll get other fractured mod and final multicraft. Last edited by Nlckname#5587 on Nov 10, 2025, 1:09:41 PM

I've made the knife:
crafting process
1. take rune dagger with fractured global crit multi / other usefull suffix, scour to make it magic. Make sure you've got the lowest level possible, but higher than 55;
2. use alteration & augment orbs until you hit +1 to level of all spell skill gems. I recommend to use "+1 to" regex so you won't lose focus; 3. Regal orb. If you somehow hit +1 to level of fire spells, the craft is finished. Otherwise, 1/2 annul. If you remove level of all pells, repeat step 2 4. multimod - cannot roll attack - added fire damage to spells. Use "Add fire" harvest craft. Since the only non-blocked fire modifier is the "+1 to level of all fire spells", it will be added. Random modifier will be removed and there's 1/4 chance that you lose "+1 to level of all spells". In this case you'll have to restart from step 2. 5. (haven't done yet) finish with multimod - trap throwing speed - any good prefix. Interesting fact: I found out, that in the trade league elder guardian maps cost about 6c (chaos orbs) and drop you a fragment that cost about 16c. Free money, right? I also managed to do a maven invitation with these guards. That's how i get all the currency i needed to make this knife. Now let's get back to the challenge: Incarnation of Neglect: This fight is the best one i had in this challenge. Boss could easily destroy me with his default attack (three accelerating projectiles) and i had to avoid them as much as i could. As a result, i was dashing around, occasionally throwing some traps into him. And he was also dashing around, occasionally attacking me. We were two duelists fighting each other to the death. Just like the game was trying to say: "You should forget any neglectance. Show your respect." Incarnation of Fear: For some reason i couldn't see dangerous fireballs that deal huge fire DoT. I died a couple of times because of it. The rest of the battle was simple enough. Incarnation of Fear is slow and my fire resistance was good enough to survive his attacks. Incarnation of Dread: I couldn't record the end of the questline properly. My OBS was lagging very hard, therefore the whole fight was nothing but a slideshow. This recording seems to be much better. Well, the whole fight is as easy as Incarnation of Fear fight. Final PoB: https://pobb.in/Yom1wXuU3V45. I've taken this from poe.ninja and changed configuration a bit: - I'm always on low life because of my RF - I always have maximum endurance charges because of low life and my graft - Wave of Conviction applies fire exposure. I can cast it twice and always hit the fire exposure in the game. - Enemy is on brittle ground, generated by my boots. What i have to do is to run through the enemy and it'll have this effect. - I'm in sand stance, just like in the game itself. I will continue with this build. It's strong enough and can tank some damage. My goal is to increase life pool (3k total life is too low) and get some protection from chaos damage. Chaos inoculation will remove about half of my damage, but will grant immunity to chaos damage. I guess i'll take it and find (buy from trade) Aegis Aurora for insane damage mitigation. Exarch was certainly an adventure. The first attempt ended in startling failure. Fortunately, losing this fight only requires you to do another t16 map with influence to get the invitation again.
Failed Quest Exarch: https://youtu.be/66lKQHaCtJ0 I took a small step back to evaluate my life choices, er, build decisions, and think through a solution. I ran a bunch of labs to get quality on the warcries. Maybe one or two days passed before I was ready to attempt again. There are several important differences from before. I have Unwavering Stance from the start and manually curse with Elemental Weakness while he's above half life and switch to Punishment when he goes below half. I swapped pantheons to Solaris for the chance to avoid area damage from hits to help with his Annihilation barrage. I took off the Herald of Purity + Rallying Cry setup for Purity of Fire. Instead of auto Battlemage's Cry, I put Infernal Cry on Autoexertion and did a manual Enduring Cry. Success! Quest Exarch down! https://youtu.be/FV6XEGqWTJA PoB: https://pobb.in/h8PhurEiZKIJ Softcore, solo self-found. ----- Currently: ----- Randomly Chosen Lacerate of Butchering Ascendant in Keepers Last edited by SunsetVista#4840 on Nov 10, 2025, 10:55:37 AM

@Nlckname#5587
Thanks for showing the crafting steps! Grats on the sweet gear! And wow, grats on the victories, too! Watching the videos now. edit 1, commenting on Neglect:
Spoiler
whoa, was Neglected Flame's Die Beam invisible there? yikes.
pfft, don't be sorry about not doing it rare. that wasn't required by the rules (thank goodness!) I like the fade in the video between the fights. only 9 mins for both together is nice. Oof, I see what you mean about his 3 beam attack hitting hard. And he sure is mobile. I think they've changed the behavior or speed of the lasers this patch, it seems a bit more involved than the quest fight before. yeah, they definitely did. he uses the other patterns now too. Grats on the win! edit 2, commenting on Fear:
Spoiler
Whoa, you ran this one rare though! Brave! Running through to the boss certainly seems like the right play. wow, that lag on the cardinal is intense. It was pretty satisfying to watch Incarnation of Fear get blasted down so quickly!
edit 3, commenting on Dread:
Spoiler
Replica Dragonfangs for Fire Trap, nice! oooh, they added new dialogue for Zana! great job! neat how he died at the exact time his big fire blast would've gone off! haha, and then you typed that too. great minds think alike.
the final PoB you posted doesn't seem to have the right gear? I don't see the Dragonfang's anyway. Did you already replace it? Seems odd. Good job with the exarch.
" Looks like you have alot of expirience in this fight: dodging during the ball phase is way better than what i can normaly get. I'm not sure purity of elements do much (except capping your fire resistance), but PoB says it helps you survive two hits at once, which should be good. " By the way, there's a good question about our life choices: We're playing off-meta builds, that don't have insane damage numbers (well, fire trap of blasting is litteraly blasting if you play as saboteur / elementalist), require intense thinking and, probably, way slower than meta-builds. There's no reason to do this in the leaguestart (in a trade league, where your goal is to become as rich as possible). You can clearly see this, because no one else left any message here (or i somehow missed it). I guess this might change in the next month, when people will search for some interesting ideas they can do while waiting for the next update. |

" *Died. It was the Elder. Very unfair boss: he can stun my character and apply a strong degen. I had to drink almost all of my tomato juice (a.k.a. life flask) to survive this. However, after a portal phase starts it's almost a 100% victory. I think i'll upload this in a couple of days) I guess these bosses left: - shaper (i still want a single portal run, but it requires practice) - cortex (and his guardians, they are much more dangeorus for me) - sirus (haven't tried this one yet, but must be possible) - maven (very hard for me right now) - breachlords Right now I want to make some crafts for my armour, because i need more evasion, physical damage mitigation, supress chance and a bit more chaos resistance. I'll lose some elemental resistances on my gear, but it seems like i should handle this by using flasks. |

" Thank you! I feel I've gotten a lot more practice with the ball phase and all the bosses in general because of this challenge. In regular play it makes sense to overwhelm the fights as fast as possible with high dps to avoid the dangerous mechanics. But here, with less powerful builds, we can't really count on doing that. Purity of Fire is for the max fire res. Even the lvl19 +3 max leads to a lot less damage taken. Lvl 20 gives +4 max but I was impatient. " I hope so! It'd be a lot of fun to see more peoples' runs too! Softcore, solo self-found.

" For Elder I like to make a long duration Sapphire Flask (+5 max cold res, his slow/freeze/drain move deals cold damage) and craft life regen on it. And maybe a sulphur flask too, to make consecrated ground for more regen. The consecrated ground can also heal Shaper during the binding/portal phase. Maven's almost always the hardest for me. And now Sirus is part of The Feared, so that'll be fun. Softcore, solo self-found.
