0.4 Wish List

My biggest wish is less people misunderstanding the "Early Access Feedback" title of this subforum and coming in and arguing with people who give early access feedback here.
+ Bump

Also revisit map layouts there is too many tight corridors, way too much ruble or urns that get you stuck or cancel most of melee pathing ability
A new engame mechanic, something like Delve would be cool. And a rework of the Atlas to be less reliant on Towers stacking.

I would also like to see the Shadow since it was my favorite class in PoE 1, but that seems unlikely for now.

Love the changes to the campaign so far but there is still a lot of work to do in the end game. The trade update is the ONLY reason I came back to POE2 this league. I can't wait for that to be added to POE1. Amazing work there! Here is my wish list for 0.4

1. Revisit the whole issue on size of zones both in the campaign and in the end game. I'd rather have more load screens than spend 10 mins trying to find the next zone with a lot of back tracking then have to go take care of something IRL and lose all that progress. Waypoints just seem so out of place and more like a bandaid fix. Shrink the zones and give us Quicksilver potions. It really is the best solution, get rid of charms and give us potions.

2. Stop forcing us to run bad map layouts in the end game. What % of POE1 players play delve? It can't be that high. We enjoy juicing a mechanic and running the layout that we like for that mechanic. Give us that option. The whole end game loop in poe2 is just trash. at the very least itemize the buff you can get from towers and let us place them on the waystones we want to run. If you're dead set of keeping the waystone system the way it is, then give us horizon orbs to force a layout we want. I hate the maps that have so many little objects. Sprinting is great until you stub your toe on a little rock and get stopped for no reason.

3. Rework the whole atlas tree system. Let us focus on juicing a single mechanic with a lot of little points adding benefits instead of a few big points. I know you're wanting to make things easier and less overwhelming for new players but building in a tutorial to a system beloved by so many in POE1 is a better option than this.

4. Do a minor pass on crafting. Too many end game crafts are so deterministic. I'd rather have scour orbs and less deterministic crafting than the system we have in place where any item that isn't perfect is basically worthless because you can make a perfect item so cheap. Add more prefix and suffix options and more tags to prevent perfect crafts.

5. Add blight or harvest. My 2 favorite mechanics of POE1 and both are not in POE2 yet!

6. Balance - I think one of the biggest problems in balance is how easy it is to gear. If the crafting mechanics from abyss weren't in this league I think the end game would be much more balanced as gear would be much harder to come by so I think the end game balance is pretty good if we can nerf crafting without making it useless like it was before.

7. Rework expedition crafting. Not sure why it was nerfed so hard coming over to POE2 since it's not even used that much in POE1 but now that there are other strong crafting mechanics in the game, you should look at buffing expedition crafting a lot. At the very least, increase the max item level of items you can obtain through it to 82 so people can use it to farm 82 magic or rare bases and scale costs for crafting by item level to create a good sink for the artifacts.

GG see you in the next POE1 league!

Point 4 is the biggest ew i've seen in a while. Hard pass. Do show me how to perfect-craft a quarterstaff with T1 phys% and damage. Add attack speed, skill levels (which is easy to get, yes) and a T1 lightning damage modifier. Maybe some life leech or crit % to top it off. If you can build that "cheap" then sure.
I used craft of exile to craft a 1350 pdps warstaff that cost me about 30 div in currency omens and a base. That is insanely cheap if you're familiar with POE1 crafting. I've crafted most of my gear myself this league and have a character that clears all content. Gear is the primary source of power in this league and it's far too easy to obtain. Crafting is far too easy and cheap. This could change when abyss isn't in every map... that would greatly reduce the supply of crafting mats and make the crafts much more expensive and that may be all that is needed.
for druid skills to have synergy with witch skills and for 2 more occult spells
