Now I really enjoy the combat in its natural habitat, fighting difficult bosses is the best part of this game.


Which map boss do you consider 'difficult'... and not exactly the same reskin with the same mechanics: aoe (virtually no other attacks) invulnerability, some regen/recharge?

Skill like heralds, support gems like innervate/ice bite/fork, cannibalism, etc. are useless vs bosses but there is no easy way to replace them with something else, e.g. a banner.
Overall the game doesn't provide a good setup for mixed mode - kill hordes of brainless mobs that run at you vs big bullet sponge targets that deal massive damage once in a while.

Lower monster density is never an inherently bad thing if you make all the necessary changes to accommodate that, it's only a bad thing if you're stuck seeing everything through the poe 1 point of view


As I mentioned in the post it depends on the power level of your build; if you're playing a strong build early maps all the way to late red maps feels like a push over, there's actually zero resistance.
If you are not playing one of the stronger builds the opposite happens so they introduced this solution but then the stronger builds will actually feels less then zero resistance so a new problem being introduced right there.
This is why I suggested to just look at the lower power level builds cuz it would address the same issue without creating a new one.
