Given that you have almost no experience with PoE1 you've really got no dog in this race.

This was funded by PoE1 supporters, it was sold to us as an expansion/upgrade for PoE1.

They did a bait n switch.

PoE is the ONLY arpg on the market that features fast-paced action-packed engaging gameplay.

PoE should remain PoE, end of discussion.

If you enjoy slow-paced low-engagement gameplay, that's great. It's a totally valid opinion and I encourage you to play what you enjoy... however absolutely every single arpg on the market already caters to this.

PoE is unique for its fast-paced action-packed engaging gameplay, and again was funded entirely by PoE supporters. So why should PoE supporters be benched in favour of Diablo, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, etc supporters?

As you say, you have your sort of game, so let us have ours!

No they aren't, D2 and GD are not even close to modern AAA games. D4 looks like the same zoomy as PoE1 but also without content/depth so i don't know who even play this.

Its very simple. becasue GGG want their money, and all Diablo/GD/LE are far behind in quality and their playerbase will give money and online numbers to GGG's PoE2 now.

Can you please just cry about this in a thread that's not labeled "suggestions to improve combat" go make one called "make PoE 1 great again" or join one of the countless other threads.

This thread is not labeled "SHOULD we improve combat" and nothing you PoE1 enjoyers have contributed so far has gone beyond "we like poe 1 thou", "we want this to be more like PoE 1", "we don't like what you people want", "you people are (add insults)" and last but not least "look at me I have zero imagination and can only think of liking a concept that has not been refined for 15+ years, let's never ever try anything new and keep the formula we like just as it is because we are afraid of change"

at least join the conversation and explain which directon you want the current gameplay to evolve into. Tell us what changes to skills, abilities and stats you would enjoy. Stuff like no cooldowns and less resource management have been noted, thanks I agree partially, please continue in that vein.
