I found a solution but it alienates against so many builds. you make a dex bases build and get all the jewels and notables/passives that reduce effects against reduced movement speed..
sad to say but i am feeling you have to go meta in order to combat all game imbalances. This is just one imbalance out of mana. Or wear wanderlust... that will stop all these effects. |

Yesterday i changed my build for chill ground to spec into Crystalized Immunities. ( I m playing on standart and i m rich )
It is sooo good to be immune to those chills and fact chill ground maps have high base rarity. I can also swap between gems to immune other grounds. I'd say either annoint your amulet or put 8-10 talent points to ignore it. |

I just throw away the waystones with chilled ground an temporal chains and be done with it.

you can avoid those with map rolling omens
or stack 1 stat my non-xp setup has 2% effect on temporal and chilled, 6% with XP setup d:-D*

" I feel that's what Charms are supposed to do, but they put charges on them and made them charge so slowly and last so short that they're mostly useless unless you're literally demolishing full screens every 3 seconds. I feel this is a core "issue" with this game's design philosophy: you are in the negative unless you are very well geared, use a very good build, etc. In other games, you put in effort to be very well rewarded, but otherwise you can chill and do whatever and still stay in the positive; but in this game, you have to put in effort to just break even, otherwise you can actually harm yourself by playing content. And that kind of design sometimes just tires me out, making me play less and less until I drop out just doomscrolling YouTube instead of loggin in... |

The 66% reduced density of ground modifiers from the patch notes was a LIE. Running chilled ground post-patch, there is no way it was reduced this much.
It is a difficult ground effect to see. It gets covered easily by foliage or grass. It blends in with snow tilesets. It bogs down FPS (like all other ground effects). And there is no counterplay. Give us an accessible way to get chill immunity and then there would be options / counterplay. Its current iteration is trash. |
