Hell all those new bases added aren't "new choices" but they are the minimum baseline mandatory right now.All the monsters have been buffed, first in t17 now in red maps even. You can't walk around in maps with less than 4k life anymore no matter the defensive layers. Those and the lack of grace/determination pretty much means u wanna roll 2-3 top tier prefixes on the best bases just to hit the minimum standard for survival atm, not for minmaxing purposes.Best new bases came with penalties on extra attribute requirements as well. And the max resistance added on tree? This is a hard joke. Like you can ignore those.No, its actually mandatory to pick those because the game damage is now balanced around having 80 all res. " They’ve already boosted player defenses across the board over the last couple of leagues, and it’s honestly never been easier to build a rock-solid character. Red maps haven’t changed, so I’m not sure what sort of imaginary monster buffs people think happened, because if anything the game has only gotten easier thanks to stronger and more accessible defensive layers. Even at release, Tier 17 content was manageable because the game was already handing out plenty of defensive tools. Since then, Tier 17 has only been watered down, making it even easier than before. I’m not sure how else to put it, but if all of that still isn’t enough, then it’s pretty clear the issue isn’t with the game. " if you rolled those prefixes and have a balanced build you should be running around with 6-7k life and 30-40k+ defences in armour and/or evasion. less than 4k life has always been a softcore glass cannon thing with /deaths 50+. life rolls on gear have been massively buffed, theres really no excuse for having less than 4k life right now if you care at all about surviving. 4k life has always been easy to achieve on any class self found in trash gear, right now its easier than its ever been. grace and determination are fine, theyre still in the game and are powerful auras. " even in the old times 4k life meant you were a glass cannon, unless you heavily invested into defences in other regards such as good old Juggernauts running around with 200k armour but 4k life, because all that damage reduction made it possible. my Death's Oath Occultist has been running juiced T16 content at 4.4k life just fine and its phys max hit is laughable (~8k). you can do just fine with very little if you choose to play like that. very much a softcore thing though. for T17 content that wouldn't be enough, but to do the pinnacle of endgame content you are simply expected to invest into defences. and that's fine. the game would be laughable if you could just run the hardest content on glass cannon builds. also, can I just say that calling people you disagree with white knights just so you don't have to engage with their opinions in good faith is a sign of a weak person. everything I say can be verified and it's based on extensive experience playing this game for over a decade. it's like if I said we shouldn't take anything you say seriously because you only have 4 years of playtime. I have hope they don't remove or nerf stackers (like they do with aura stackers)... Well I do not play as stacker, just my own arc build, I can do t17 bosses but mostly I have to use at last 4 portals xD...
Also I think they should buff much more basic stats. At last we should have implicts like % more spell/attack speed (like attribute stacker have % attribute/int/str/dex), as well as % more spell/ph dmg (and here more means if we have 1000% increased spell or chaos, or elemental or any typoeof dmg, and item have 5% more we get 50%) maybe here is solution but I'm not sure. Also we should get some stats like add x dmg type to x dmg type for ech +x% type of dmg, so for example +5 to +10 spell fire/light/cold/chaos/physical damage for ech +10% fire/light/cold/chaos/physical/elemental damage. |

I spend less then 50 div to get 9289 hp and 1017 es :
![]() Purity of elements aura granting immune to all aliments, jewel granting corrupted blood immune, turtle spectre = determination aura, animate guardian = Nearby Enemies cannot deal Critical Strikes and 10 stack of fortification, 6% dmg recoup as life from jewel, steelskin buff, minion taunt and blind enemies. Golem gives me -15% melee damage taken. Pantheon another -8 and -5%. 7% of physical dmg taken as fire. Block and spell block maxed, spell suppression not yet but still helps a bit. I have total 21 ranged animate weapons with very fast attack making knock-back enemies, witch also helps a lot. IMO defences if you smart are cheap and very good in this league.
