You're thinking of a different "Classic" Raise Zombie.
Classic Raise Zombie life decayed over time. Classic Raise Zombie required consistent re-cast. Classic Raise Zombie required manual Cursing. Classic Raise Zombie requires manual use of other skills. What you're talking about is the abomination they made later with 40+ zombies on the screen that pinned enemies in place leaving near no risk or effort on part of the player. I know this because my still living HC character was from pre-Ascendancy days on my profile. Personally I like having one big banger pet but what they did with Necro for years was gross. By now i feel shaper has ironed out all the points in all the shapes you could to make it understandable how we feel on it. But it is slowely going in the right direction i feel atleast every patch with more options for summoners, so thats nice!
