As noted in the thread linked to by the OP, I had specifically queried Chris W. himself back in the day regarding whether a macro could have what you refer to as "dynamic binding".

It's a shame due to exactly the kind of accessibility issues you allude to - but if anything, that's all the more reason in my mind to warn people of GGG's stance on such macros.
