POE2 infinite loading screen

Im on 25.11 or whatever the latest release is for my 7900xt and i have the same problem you're all describing.


Im going to downgrade to 25.8.1 now to see if it fixes it. If it does, i would say thats a definitive fix for now, based on the fact that GGG cant put out a new driver update for amd, its amd's job to make sure their updates are stable. Had this same problem on arc raiders where i was recommended a downgrade to fix many issues and the downgrade solved them as intended.


Ill be back later tonight to let you guys know, i ended up resetting the entire from scratch because i thought something i had on there might be interfering, so ill still have to reinstall poe2 before i can test it.

hello guys, I'm back with an update, I have confirmed that rolling back on your AMD adrenaline update from 25.11 to 25.8.1 is stable and the shader caching issue is no longer an issue.

There is infact an instability of some sort, with the most recent "stable" driver update from AMD.


Now i'm not entirely sure about nvidia users, but it seems that most of them are able to fix the same issue we have, with a setting that's built into their nvidia control panel, regarding shader cache size allocation.


I hope this helps, and I hope this lets you guys play the new league without these absurdly long load times for maps and what have you.

Just came to say thanks and rollback to 25.8.1 worked for me too.

I also had the same infinite loading issue on trying to enter an area with Path of Exile 2. I tried clearing caches, tried lots of different settings without luck, then stumbled onto this thread.

I also had the same 25.11.1 driver installed with this infinite loading issue.

After using their AMD cleanup tool and then reinstalling 25.8.1 driver it solved this for me and I can now load in to the game to actually play it again.

Using 7800X3D / 9070 XT and a fully updated Win 11 Pro 23H2.

Poe 2 Early Access Infinite Loading Screen Same Problem 0.4 - GTX 2060 - AMD Processor -

I tried rolling back my AMD to 25.8.1, fixed a windows update issue I didnt know i had, then switched to direct X 12 instead of vulkan...

my loading screens are STILL 5x longer than they were a few days ago

I have no idea what happened or what to do
