What's the point in the druid class
The whole appeal of a druid is the shapeshifting and now you gave us a male sorcerer that gave us a class weapon. The last of the druids is a bad title considering every class can now be a druid as long as they equip a talisman. There will be no class identity bc the unique things about the class can be accessed by every class. Are we gonna get demon form so we dont have to play blood mage? Also why make each animal form associated with a specific element with the huge element imbalance that has been in the game since .1 you could at least have added nodes in the ascendancies to give the druid unique abilities if you choose the class instead of just playing another class that can shapeshift Last bumped on Dec 7, 2025, 6:04:45 AM

Agree its lame. Could have just called it the shapeshifting league.

Just water your plants.

" Not gonna lie they need more skills interactions like that between all the weapons and skills. Would open build diversity and lot and quite forcing you into a specific archytype |

Hoped to see one asendancy for all shapeshifting forms or minions, like for new minions they could have added trees,birds,spiders,plants,wolfs,bears...
But got nothing this update really so back to witch once again. Last edited by Zecalo#5575 on Dec 6, 2025, 12:22:56 PM

" What's the point of all classes. They aren't really classes even. Just a couple of unique nodes doesn't make class "a class". In POE there are no classes, just skill gems and trees. |
|
" The thing that I think they are trying to explain is why is something like demon form locked in an ascendency but all the transformations for druid are not? The druid ascendency should have been 3 sided allowing you to spec into what form you want and all the buffs that could focus on it. The new weapon type should have all the human form spells/skills that any class can use. It would have gave the druid a main reason to play it when we all know there is a high probability the other ascendancies will be better druids. |

Seems like Druid is not finished, just patched up to a state to be released.
Endgame was not finished, so they need something to publish. It is an unpolished/unfinished class and Leauge-Mechanic is just a patchwork. Again, we have a Leauge that was a financial decision rather than content one. If there was Endgame where you can choose a map layout, people would look over all the limits that were put in place. Since they could have compensated those by choosing a map layout that synergises with their skill focus / movement speed. So yeah ... movement speed is still King. Pre-Cast Burst DMG is replaced by either RAMP DMG, On-Point Burst or SHOTGUNNING. So, excluding a playstyle reduces build diversity. Well, we just wait for Streamers to discover a good build, then ppl will flock to that class/ascendency. It will be like Deadeye in 0.3, just delayed by 2-3 days. That class/ascendency will dominate everything. Last edited by jakobkaminski#0365 on Dec 6, 2025, 5:33:46 PM

" I don't disagree with that, indeed, it would be better to lock 3 forms behind 3 dru ascendancies - for people who love classes (like me, for example, btw). But when the game is "classless", then there is no reason to be surprised at the decision made. |
|
" Yes with it being classless in design I get that but then it needs to be consistent. Meaning Demon Form needs to be its own thing as well. As for 3 separate ascendancies, that might be too much. I was envisioning something like Smith of Katava where there would be a node for each form then behind them are all the things that buff them/that playstyle. |
