This is why I don't bother much beyond finishing the campaign - I am not going to get the 3rd and 4th point even with a 90+ level character, no way.

This is why I love Titan - get the best ascendancy passive in the game and never bother with the rest.


Same here, once I found out we need to run three rounds in the 3rd trial (and failed), I never try it anymore because it is not fun.

I understand GGG wants to keep us playing the game but forgot if it is fun or we have a different expectation of fun.
I don't get why the ascendancies are locked behind playing the game in an entirely different fashion. POE1 ascendancies were a chore but at least you were playing the same game.

Now you get the divisive Sanctum, or gambling on build-killing debuffs in X rounds of Ultimatum.


Best solution is to do them over-levelled, so that the mechanics don't matter and the content is a snoozefest.

If the metrics match up with everyone doing it being overlevelled, why not save everyone some time and fudge in an instant ascendancy point off the back of later game quest/map boss deaths?

If something takes literally 30 minutes to complete and is mandatory,then there's a problem.In 1 Lab was at most 3-4 minutes provided you kept your gear upgraded,and even faster if you were running something like minions.

There is no reason the first two trials are as long and frustrating as they are.
