Druids are really terrible.

I've been playing POE 2 since version 0.1 and have tried many builds. The Druid this season is the most unpleasant and worst character I've ever played—it's extremely clunky and has terrible feel. At first, I thought this character would hit its power spike in the mid-game, but after playing for so many days, I've found that it's just as bad in both the early and late game. GGG is such a bunch of blowhards; they hyped up the Druid as their most complex design, but do the designers even play the game? Can they really find this character fun to play with?

yeah druid feels shit, the crystals on wolf do nothing, i just dont see the combo being worth waiting for the freeze.

also aoe on packs with frost just not existent, jump around, freeze one, get crystals they do 0 dmg, run away from attacks, jump back in

guess bear and gaygon is more fun, but wolf got fucked with some amazon spears

I can only talk about my experience here. I have no issues with druid. Im also playing Plant Caster druid so no shapeshift for me.

Well The devs specifically said Druid would be a weapon swap class and it very much isn't.

I tried to make a Human + Animal hybrid. Just doesn't work because 90% of passive nodes are "While Shapeshifted" or discount caster nodes. Only a few support the Dev's claims.

In that regard Druid is a complete failure. You pick an animal form or go caster. Done.

Players say "Druid" but what most mean are Talismans. The area around druid is terrible. The Ascendancies are pretty decent. You can't just say "Druid bad" in this game.

I only tryed wolf form, it's really doing a lot of damage.

Most packs die only using pounce and cross slash.

The freezing of lunar assault feel like cheating...

It work very well on bosses too.

There is some bugs tough but overall it's pretty overpowered imo.

I tried the weapon swap thing with a bow or staff, then primal accounting for most of my abilities.

There are some neat combinations that can be effective for quick clearing or single target damage.

Such as wing blast with a physical area ability such as whirling assault that can cause daze quickly. This clears very fast.

But, overall, kind of like with PoE 1, when you find an ability that is just smooth and efficient and easy to use, it makes everything else seem bad. Whirling assault for example just clears so fast and scales too easily. With +skills it does more single target damage than my skills that are meant to be for single targets.

Lightning too seems to just scale so much easier for big 1-shot kills of rares and bosses. This applies to wyvern reave, staff abilities, bow abilities, etc. Crit + shock magnitude does a lot of damage.
