These leagues always have problems that need fixing and you vanish in christmas for the league to suck for a very long time. It takes you a week to settle back in from the vacations then you release the earliest patch by a week or so. We wait for a whole month to even for changes to come in.
Nobody is saying don't take a break in Christmas, just stop releasing leagues so close to your national holiday...
Do the leagues in November so you can polish the bad mechanics then go on vacation.
The vaal temple changes are mild because you are going to vacation and if something breaks you wont be there to monitor and fix it. This happened last year too.

Agree. From a business point of view it is good to release close to Christmas, but for the content itself and the well being of the devs it is bad. They are forced to rush out the content update, are more rushed to bring out bandaid fixes and they leave with a bad taste into their vacation.

Or you could just wait till it's fixed, and then play it.

Or Leagues should have 8 months duration and be more bug stable and with no balance issues. In too short time no company can bring such huge patch with ton of content with no problems. Maybe small patches during the 8 months League can correct some things.

+1 - it's bad for players as well as for Company. It's insane how bugged and unbalanced with so massive power-creep poe 2 is. Nothing promised was delivered on time or as promised. It's more of poe 1 than anything what was promised

That's true, there is a golden coder's rule: do not commit production releases right before holidays :D
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313

That's not coding, that's sysOps. 3 digits should know that. Unless you think testing, staging and production are managed by the same people.

What's your point about it being a video game? GGG did the same thing last year and got massive blow back. So people pointing it is a bad idea should not be a surprise. The fact that they keep on reverting all the bad changes they have made back each season shows they are not listening to the base. Then they have to come back and rebuff drops and nerf mobs again. It's honestly crazy that they keep doing it.
