Cautionary note based on PoE precedent (not an accusation):
This Holten strat isn’t just “efficient routing”. It combines campaign determinism + party state manipulation to generate endgame keys (Vaal Crystals → Temples) at a rate many times faster than intended endgame mapping.
Historically in PoE1, GGG has repeatedly acted when players:
used campaign/low-level content
combined with instance resets or party mechanics
to bypass endgame randomness and pacing
especially when it produced keys to high-loot content
In those cases, the result was often patches + wealth rollbacks or bans, even though each individual mechanic was “allowed”.
PoE2 has already seen at least one early exploit where GGG patched it and removed wealth / banned abusers, so this isn’t hypothetical.
Yes, streamers are doing this openly and paid carries are happening (which are normally fine), but public visibility has never been a shield in PoE. “Everyone is doing it” has never been a defense.
If you care about account safety, history strongly suggests avoiding this until GGG clarifies or patches it. Endgame altar farming on normal maps may be slower, but it’s clearly intended and zero-risk.

Fubgun was smart enough to not abuse infinite ritual reroll in 0.3 on stream, but noone would ever believe that suddenly offstream when he said he's gonna sleep and after that he has few mirrors here and there. I wanna see what will happen with this "clever game mechanic use" when ggg come back, if this intended or not, we will see for sure.

Economy is destroyed. This is the worst case yet, worst than 0.3 or 0.2. 450 exalts for 1 divine only 14 days in. It took 1 month to reach 400 exalts for 1 divine in 0.3. The holten exploit destroyed the economy. Anyone playing normally is screwed because there's no way to exploit it yourself without making a new character or exploiting it via discord parties with lower levels. Even if they fix the exploit, without punishing the exploiters, normal players can't craft, everything is way too expensive, drop rate is still bad for non exploit temple stuff. The best solution is for temple level to be based on the map level that you did the vaal circles in, level 67 average will give you an level 67 temple. Update it so all the exploiters are punished.

He did in fact use the infinite ritual exploit offstream. You can see in his streams he suddenly has multiple hundreds of divines he didn't get on stream alongside a fat patch of exp. Just look at the bar.

They ain't working on it. For some reason, New Zealanders take 1 month holiday breaks.

I agree, but not everyone plays in SSF (this game is not build for SSF at all). If there are no other consequences besides a fix for the exploit, the damage to the economy is so severe that i won't be able to buy anything on the market this season (like a lot of players). I'd like to keep playing and not just be disgusted and quit 0.4 because my character will never be able to get an upgrade again. That's what makes me desperately want to use that temple technique. Just so I don't get completely left behind and i guess i m not the only one thinking like this.

Two things to note here.
1. Whether he did it live or offscreen is irrelevant; GGG discovered and banned the people who abused the ritual exploit using the data they collected on their own end.
2. There is no way anyone could have generated hundreds of divines using the exploit in that short window of time and not got caught. You can't hide blatant abuse of a mechanic from the devs themselves. They can see it all, and they were actively looking, too.
Guess who didn't get banned?
I can think of several ways that Fubgun, who plays this game an unhealthy amount, might have racked up divs and exp in a short time. I can not think of a way Fubgun would have managed to hide such an exploit from the people who control the game. Either way, or if you go a third route and claim it was GGG favoritism,
