Everything feels worthless now..

First of all, I am not a temple user and was never planning on being one.
I love mapping and crafting and doing other mechanics. But a guild mate of mine dropped a last flame and handed out some currency this morning. I sold a couple of my stuff as well and was like, this is the moment i'm gonna upgrade things. after careful planning i bought a couple lineage gems that were over 100-150 divines each. Bought my accessoiries and some armor pieces. And with the money I had left i bought a bow base and slammed it with whittle omens etc that cost me over 16-18D each. roughly 600+ divines later i was happy and feeling accomplished. Not even 1 hour later i hear some chatter in the guild chat and global that temple got a massive hotfix nerf. And EVERYTHING suddenly crashed in value, people bought out the entire currency exchange too to put it at back at higher prices like perfect exalts etc. but the stuff i bought like garukhans, uul-netol, diallas and my whittles all plummeted 3x down in price. All that currency down the drain.. i haven't ever felt like quitting a league so early. I don't even feel the motivation to map now. I just stare at my screen in my hideout.. Heck I don't even know if I want to come back in 0.5 cuz of this. Meanwhile the temple users that GGG allegedly was trying to prevent from printing currency are still happily farming 50-80 divines per run still (judging from the streams i've watched here and there). So what was the point? To you GGG : You didn't screw those mechanic abusers over, you screwed everyone else over instead... Sorry had to vent a bit. Last bumped on Jan 3, 2026, 10:34:11 PM

So you are quiting a league just because you got lost at flipping ?
Seems you are playing the game for the wrong reasons my friend. To be honest farming orbs in this game feels pointless outside of one single area, which we all know what it is... Beside that sitting on divs and mirrors it's just pointless. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party. Last edited by Vendetta#0327 on Jan 3, 2026, 5:01:13 AM

" I didn't flip jack. Neither was I planning on flipping jack. I saved up currency and decided to make use of it. Only to have overspend by 3-4x cuz of GGG's horrible hotfix that ruined economy. That's like working your ass off to buy a let's say BMW M4 for 100k. And suddenly due to some whatever reason the car's worth is now 30k. And you are 100k lighter with 70k loss. And you put blood sweat and tears into that 100k. |

only thing you can do now is to vote with your time and money.
Exploit early exploit often bozos.

But you haven't lost anything. You bought some stuff for the price it was at the time. You own that stuff. Nothing has been lost.
Don't let perception of value rule your life. If you weren't going to sell them, then the value is meaningless. You bought things you wanted for the price they were worth. Whether than price changed afterwards is irrelevant. |

" You are right mate, but it was like in a matter of an hour or two that such a massive value drop happened. Anyone would feel under by that. This patch came out of nowhere. I was under the impression such things would never happen from ggg. So it took me by surprise as well, if I knew i would've never bought these things at the time and waited. I really wish I could be positive about this. I still tried to run a couple maps this morning, try to have some fun. Just mentally exhausted, i need a quick break and try playing again later today. |

" He lost his purchasing power due to wrong market timing. At least he lost the divines (and divine orb has it’s own value of rerolling stat values). Secondly, fracturing orbs and omens of lights crashed only 2x compared to his loss of 3x. These things should not happen. It is normal to have usual market volatility but this one is a bit unusual and induced by devs actions. If we think these things are normal and the op didn’t lost anything, then the trade league should be removed. |

" If that BMW M4 was worth the money for you in terms of what it returned to you then then that "suddenly ... is not 30k" does not affect you. Only flippers that buy a car thinking it will appreciate in time or think that you sell a product after you benefited from it on the same or higher amount will cry. So yea, you are trying to flip and crying about it. Like someone said above, you bought whatever at the price it was there, the market as in real life is volatile, today a bitcoin is 100k $ tomorrow it's 70k $.... So yea, you are crying cuz your flipping went wrong, you were buying stuff trying to capitalize on the market inflation. GGG corrected the problem were the inflation came from, and you lost. Sucks to suck, you should have sold before the patch, and probably since you are doing this you knew things won't be left like this in first month of a league. GGG's hotfix deflated the inflation by nerfing something and giving other things a chance. That's not a horrible hotfix that's adjustment. Imagine if tomorrow you could only get money from IT, while the rest of the workers are left spending double the working time for double the nothing they receive. Wouldn't you mediate this problem ? Of course you wouldn't, you would invest in the IT market and after that cry on whatever finance forum that you lost your investment. P.S be so kind and never invest real money in crypto, you don't really seem to know how economy works, and you seem to cry when you loose, technically based on your own mistakes. " What about the people who wasted hours to build the temples, didn't they lost anything ? It's called correction, and it happens when something is out of normal. Fracturing orbs dropping to 2x was normal, due to more people switching from temple to mapping and getting more fracturing orbs. And yes it's normal, it's called economy regulation.
