15x maces with 170 Tyrannical mod rare and magic
15x exceptional bases lvl 82 3 socked + low suffix
15x Omen of recombinator

50% hit for not destroyed on, specify at the recombinator

result:
7x maces with 2 mod without 3 socked

Thanks for the great experience, I'll never use this crap again.

Luckily for me, I found an exceptional level 82 base in my second weapon slot even though I don't have any auto-equipment enabled.

Please continue working on a mechanic that leads to the absolute inflation and devaluation of the Divine instead of a potentially good crafting option. Perhaps the Expedition currency could somehow regain value.

dunno, recombinator never worked for me for 4 seasons in poe2. I'm just unlucky with it, or it's just a fancy placeholder to "delete items" button.
Not sure if recombining grants 3 sockets but you actually got 50% success chance, sadly the fact it didnt give you what you wanted doesnt mean isnt working
The recombinator is a good way to get a "base" with two T1s. Run Expedition and collect bases with a single T1.

There's ways to increase the determinism in your crafting with omens and abyss mechanics and perfect essences and fracture orbs.

Without a lot of RNG the crafting would be just too simple and not a meaningful currency sink and would lack in excitement. Plus the fact it has a very large but manipulatable RNG component ends up adding a bit of skill and thinking into it.

I've never played a MMO or ARPG with better crafting but ofc always interested to hear about them. In most MMOs and ARPGs I've played, crafting is fully deterministic and you just look at the components you need and click "craft" and wait a bit and tada, done.

Would the sink and crafting be better if you could keep using more and more currency to get the results you want tho? Like low chance to get 3-4 T1 mods but if you keep spamming Div/Exalt/Chaos on it, eventually I think you should be able to without needing hundreds of bases. Not sure if overall this would be better or not.

But IMO, either currency needs equalized accross the player base no matter the style/mechanic they want to play (wont ever happen) or ground loot needs to actually be good to a point where the best stuff can be found and not just crafted by the rich.
I tried using this thing for an entire week. It breaking so much, the extra layer to the gambling and bad crafting makes it completely unreasonable.
I used it only a single time this league and it happened to succeed and I was shocked. Haven't used it again, I feel like that was all my lucky gone into that one time lol. Would be nice if there was some way to improve the chances of it.
