I played warrior, sorc and ranger this season. Here is the comparison
|
All of the classes have their vulnerabilities but the warrior has the easiest access to the most dependable source of mitigation - raise shield. It negates every single (non red, non dot) hit.
You can literally stand in front of bosses while using it and just block their attacks until they're stunned and pile on them while they're down. Raise shield is pretty much what has made Warrior my most reliable class to make it 90+ in hcssf because unlike the other forms of avoidance, it's not a dice roll. If you set up the stuns, armour breaks, and slams/aftershocks correctly, you're going to kill the bosses super fast and feel super safe while doing it. Even boneshatter clears entire packs. Also, I felt the BEST playing warrior, next in line has been Monk, and then Merc, and then Sorc, and Ranger last. I would say the Druid feels on-par with the Merc in terms of versatility during the leveling process, but man - the warrior was just an elegant dance with the monsters all the way through to 90+. I don't get the hate for it. |

I say just play range - pure melee feels meh. Don't tell me blinking monk is or rampage druid is 'melee'.

I love playing Titan for the great defenses and the 50% node buff.
I get out of melee as soon as I have enough points though. The find the slams just too slow. AOE strike skills are better but AOE is a bit small compared to most skills. Gas grenade titan is crushing this season using Eternal Rage druid ability and Tacati's Ire. Caster and minion builds work great too once you have enough skill points to get around the tree to the relevant node. It took me 3 seasons to finally understand how the armour damage reduction formula worked at endgame. This season my warrior can just run though juiced maps ignoring the damage of 90% of the map. White and blue mobs can't kill me even in packs all they do is get in the way. Elites die instantly to my poison and the bosses get off 1 attack at most which I can tank. So different from the previous seasons where my character was a dps powerhouse that randomly exploded when a mob look at me. |
