From what I know of the HC community, the mode demands more attention, more planning, and SLOWER pace....not to mention a certain level of "detachment" from the penalties of death, resulting in a far more grounded and stable mindset of the average player. It's also why the myriad of complaint threads in both PoE 1 and PoE 2 forums are NOT from hardcore players, but rather SOFTCORE players losing their minds.

HC character death: "welp that sucks. Time to start again"
SC character death: "waaaaaaaah, we need to abolish the exp penalty. The game is overtuned! The top .1% make this game impossible. The game is not fair."

HC has a draw for people with shit to prove which leads to some of them crashing out when RIPs happen.

It has a problem of attracting some of the least suited people for playing it.

These people were the first ones on my mind when I made that initial remark.

This has no bearing on people who are suited for HC and are thus invisible in comparison.

Certainly didnt mean "all hc players are the same kind of sperg" even if it did sort of came out that way.

And these people are....who....exactly? What proportion of HC players? As someone who literally said you don't play HC.....what do you base this on?

You say you "certainly didn't mean"....yet that's exactly what you meant. You specifically said that's what you meant. That is the very definition of "stereotype"

I don't like to paint with broad strokes. I'm sure there people from every walk of life and temperament playing HC. While they are playing HC, they are HC players. But over time, people who can't handle it will eventually leave, making the common denominator people who can handle HC and all that comes with it. Just because someone is loud doesn't mean they are right or represent a majority. It just means they are loud.

If your posts generalising a vast portion of Hardcore players get deleted, that is the clearest indication that it's a wrong thing to do. I have given you the full context why that type of behaviour just leads to social division and injustice, but you seem convinced in your ways.

I am curious to learn what you think "populated" means or how you are going to try and twist what it actually means. I am not sure if the mods like to entertain that conversation any longer though.

People are assuming that's what you meant because it's what those words mean. And given that your clear mastery of the english language has been demonstrated elsewhere in this thread, it's a very reasonable assumption that you did in fact mean to paint in broad strokes.

Especially when you later doubled and tripled down instead of apologizing and restating your point when it became clear that literally everybody else in the thread took what you said a specific way that you are now trying to claim you didn't intend.

So you have read everthing I said in this thread, thought about it and decided that I have in fact came in here with an intention to pick a fight with entire HC community out of the blue.

I think thats on you at this point.
