I dont know what's happening but I can't build my golem-smithy chain. Things destabilize as much as the rooms I put down. And some runs I'll get lock medallions enough to lock my 2 chains but then I can't start the side golem-smithy. I spent 4 hours this morning and made 0 progress.
It could be intentional to nerf lock medallions or maybe not but this has to be the biggest "time waster" of intentionally having so much RNG so you never get the rooms you need and don't have the lock medallions to save your existing chain. Given GGG's history, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a shadow nerf. Any changes they should do after the league ends, not during the middle of it. I am at my wits end and will just end up quitting the game if it is that punishing rather than rewarding. |

Im telling you. I dont know if I can support a company that will let me waste my time to setup the temple and then nerf my ability to finish it. Im at the point of connecting my smithy golem line, and I only need two locks, and cant even sustain my 2 chains anymore. I have 11 level 3 spymasters for context. So building temple out any further is impossible at this rate.
Im not playing phrecia because I think it sucks. Im not playing Poe 1 anymore, not because it sucks, but because the xbox economy sucks. I thought we was good because Id just keep playing poe 2, but not if the temple is unplayable. And yes I think it was so people would play Poe 1. I would suggest stopping until they apologize and fix the lock nerf. They probably will say it was unintentional if they fix it at all. But with people getting ready for poe 1 or phrecia we probaly wont have the 5000 complaints like when they screwed up the locks saying everything had to be level 3. Funny, I also have 11 T3 spymasters and yes once in a while I'll have a run where i get 4-5 locks. But I am mostly getting 2 locks per run to sustain so can't build anything out. And I can't get the corruption chamber after almost 18 runs to connect. Nothing is explained either or the odds of things spawning. I'll give it until tomorrow and if no progress, safe to say not only the league but the game is over for me. I don't want to continue to support a company that has shady practices. This is feeling more like a casino and gambling than playing an actual ARPG. |

" People on the forum have said that lock drops now depend on rarity. I haven't tested it myself, but I've read it from different people. " I don't think that's true. I'm running 400+ rarity in my temple + 150%+ additional rarity on gear and it is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get 6-7 locks in one run and sometimes I get none. The average seems to be 2-3. The only thing we know for sure GGG changed is which medallions can drop from Spymasters, because they finally changed the description on the rooms. Before it only said "High Chance for lock", but now it shows all the medallions a room can drop. I think with that change came the "nerf" to lock drops, because it increased the drop pool for spymaster rooms. Now u're as likely to get locks from certain other rooms aswell but overall the drop rate is lower than before. It's still more than possible to build a temple right now, but it's a grind and sometimes u get shafted by rng in a big way. I just finished the last "hard" part of my temple today and am now at 57 stable rooms. From now on it's pretty easy to complete the temple for me, unless I get very unlucky with locks, but I got 6 saved up. It still took me about 3 weeks to build it, while playing around 3-4 hours a day (more on weekends). PoE2 0.4 Character:

Yes, this is where I kinda figured a nerf was introduced. I read that patch note and it said it clarified wording on medallion drops. Im like ok, thought it was pretty clear before. But the "may drop" and the increased drop pool of all medallions kinda slashes consistent lock returns considerably.
Im at a spot in my temple where I need about 3 or four locks to set it up correctly, and this seems to be impissible probably since Friday. Before then I could hold 3 or four at all times plus other usable medallions. Wouldnt complain so much but put alot of hous in to this damn thing. I have had multiple dry runs where I had no locks qhich feels horrible. Some of the tech if it gets deleted basically bricks the temple, and Im trying to protect those rooms at all cost. If t b ey are deleted, temple is lost for me. |

I know there's multiple ways of building temple layouts out there, but generally u should avoid scenarios where u need more than 2 locks to progress at any point.
I think I needed 3 locks 3 times and for that I basically collected room medallions aswell to get over that phase as fast as possible. Other than that, needing more than 2 for an extended period of time is just asking for trouble imo. I abandoned my first characters temple because I built it with 3 snakes in mind and at some point realized that it would not be possible to sustain. " I dont know, doesn't make sense. I've been running with 0 rarity and some runs I get a few locks but then subsequent runs i'll get like no or 1 lock. Medallions relying on rarity would be a really stupid move. That woudl mean in a 6 man party every room that could drop a medallion would drop one. |
