Ward does not recover faster despite having "faster restoration of ward" modifiers

I have a problem with ward restoration time. By default it has 2 seconds recovery time. I have on my character total of 150% faster restoration of ward modifiers, which should reduce restoration time below 1s.
Checked with Olroth bloodline ascendancy passive that gives extra 20% faster restoration for each time I've been hit on to of mods on my gear. Same story. Please fix this! Last bumped on Feb 20, 2026, 11:30:36 PM

Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.

" Less than like 0.001% of bug reports get a GGG reply unfortunately. We are only seeing a spike in replies now as they prepare the next league patch. But many of the bug reports do get passed along to devs without a reply. Only potential tips I can offer is: 1. Include a bug report # so they can document anything from your character. 2. Include video of it not working. Maybe with and without the restoration mods if possible, but 1 vs 2 second should be clear enough to notice on its own. 3. Looking at your characters, I don't see any others in Keepers. But if the issue is not fixed after migration, you could try putting the same gear on one of your Standard characters and see if the issue is isolated to something on your Berserker or the mod just stopped working. |

Thanks for your report, I assume this is on your Berserker in Keeper's League? I'm only seeing 94% faster Restoration of Ward on this character, have you changed some items out?
I also looked into "Boon of the Sun" which grants "20% faster Restoration of Ward per Enemy Hit taken Recently" and this node also seems to work. | |
" Yes, it is on my league berserker. I've made a .gif out of my play. Actually I recorded few of my map runs and I caught something interesting. On my current gear there is 94% faster restoration of the ward (switched boots since my original post). That means my time to restore ward should be about 1.04 sec (standard is 2 sec). Despite that it takes exactly 2 seconds to restore ward at all times. On one of the recordings my ward was broken before the animation of the golden glow fully loaded. It took 35 frames from the te first time the ward was broken to the second time it was broken. The video fps is 30, which means it took a little over a second for ward to be reloaded. This is my assumption but it looks like the ward is reloading as intended in terms of game mechanics that work underneath but the visual cue that indicates restoration defaults always to 2 seconds. IDK - maybe it is hard-coded into the game instead of relying on actual restoration time. |
