Gender selection.

This game identity is stil unclear and the community is split on many ways regarding which direction GGG should commit.

Ask again when 1.0 is out because right now, a lot of players, including myself, are waiting to see which way they're going with 0.5.

If they do commit to slow pacing and ridiculous loot pinata like temple mechanics, some people like me will simply delete the game and never come back.

You seem to mix there stuff together which shouldn't be together. Slow pacing and loot pinatas are an opposing matter?
Right now is surely not the moment, maybe later and as a DLC. At least you are not asking for more genders, that would be a huge no.

They aren't opposing matters.

I don't want to walk like a turtle during gameplay in absurd large maps with trash pathing.

I also don't want to get 20000 raw div drop after 1 month in a league by farming a zone that gives 100 times better ROI than actual mapping. The game is in a completely ruined state. The nerf on movement speed and the total ruination of itemization by limiting rare augment socketables to only one has done it for me.

Faster pacing dosen't require excessive rewards. I don't mind grinding the game for months, as long as I don't feel like I'm a fucking turtle and when I kill 1 thing, a mirror drop on average.....

There was a nerf? So far it seemed like we only got buffs since release?

Those are unique effects not any ability should be able to benefit from, which makes sense. Their rarity and the prices but make none.

Nothing about that makes any sense to me, sorry.
I mind grinding senselessly. If you enjoy that, there are already plenty of options to do so. Diablo 3, 4, Last Epoch, Lost Ark and even partially PoE 1.
If you just need a waste of time, go for Vampire Survivor, Rogue: Genesia, Soulstone Survivors.
They all offer you senseless grinding if you enjoy that.

My hopes but are for a actual new game, otherwise I could just log into PoE 1 and start blasting.

I enjoyed 0.1 bossing really much, cause bosses were actually a challenge and not a joke. I also enjoy that if I beat a challenge to get rewards for it and not nothing like it is right now or how it mostly was so far, especially in the campaign.

Even the last phrecia event of PoE 1 was somewhat funny even if it was in most terms for campaign a chore at best and completely exaggerated.

You are not a turtle unless you play as one... or trying to compare it with something it doesn't want to be. This game is not supposed to be a racing sim or compare to them in any way. Just saying.

And lastly getting a mirror as drop on average is so hardcore overexaggerated, that you could also paint your face and stick a red ball to your nose, if you not already have it there. :O

I used an extreme example so that you could grasp that there is no conflict in between wanting a faster pace without normalizing excessive rewards.

And yes, movement speed was nerfed in 0.4

I genuinely don't care anymore, if that's what GGG wants, then so shall it be. I'll just wait 0.5 to confirm and then I'll move on and just accept that mediocrity is the new standard for that company.
Gender and personalized look is needed for 1.0 release.
Don’t care when they get to it as long as it’s in for 1.0.
I see zero reason why this shouldn’t be in the game.
I just realized this would mean my male sorcerer and witch would wear women’s clothing for energy shield. Never mind guys I don’t mind playing a female character.

Lack of resources. They don't even have the resource to port out all MTX from POE1, now you want double, triple the workload?

FYI, GGG is hiring, you can apply and go do it yourself.

Until the game has stabilized, issue like this are minor and not worth expending resources.

There's still too much to cover.
What happens when guys who want to play a cool badass male Witch realize in act 3 they have to wear a revealing women's cape, basically crossdressing

its like in act 3 with the piles of dead male corpses wearing G strings

You can already put the dudes in the women's clothing. Most clothing is largely gender-neutral in this game anyway. You just need the attributes to equip it, anyone can equip anything if they meet the stat requirements.

Hey, equal opportunity! Put my Mercenary in a Tattered Robe, yes please!

But I agree with another poster who said you're already playing a pre-determined character that isn't a self-insert. They have their own personality/backstory/etc. No need to add a gender option to every class, that's just excessive. And I come from a time before you could choose your gender in games where mine was never represented.
