You can also take Asceticism near the witch start. Since you'll have 1 life it will be very usefull with no penalty.

There is better way - just acquire helmet Visage of Ayah, put it on, drink to restore life, then put your usual helmet back.
But as other rightfully pointed out the main strength of the Lich with Life Eternal is ability to go into low life state, and benefit from it. |
